I liked MLB2K7 on the PS3. I thought it was a fun game and I still have a dynasty going. I've tuned down the home runs with the slider set I use so it's pretty enjoyable. But I enjoy MLB08 more because of the atmosphere. It has the best crowd noise in any sports game I have ever played -- they really react to the situation.

As a guy who owns both games this year, I feel really comfortable when I tell people The Show may only have one signature style...but it's baseball's.

True, it captures baseball very well. But as far as making you feel like YOUR the one who is playing rather than watching where then? The show is awesome man, I am playing it right now so I am not drinkin haterade. But I want a game that has all of the show and then the gameplay aspect of 2k. The swing stick, pitching, throwing and of course player sig.

Great post. It's pretty evident when you play the game. Unless you're only into that whole Sportscenter highlight thing.

I'm 100% in agreement. But they have to do it right or all these new additions just end up feeling like half-broken gimmicks. And IMO, both the new pitching interface and the timed-only hitting interface are so poorly designed and implemented, they end up taking away from the gameplay experience of 2K8, rather than adding to it. There's no sense of "pitching" in having to twist the R stick around and up, just to throw a particular pitch. And certainly timed-only hitting bears little resemblance to the act of making contact with a pitched baseball.

True. I hate 2k so much for the incompleteness and now I am all hopeful for what they are gonna release this march. Hopefully its good and they actually implement....crap HALF of what we ask for and maybe they would have a complete game. Until then I will sit naked on the couch eatin cheetos and playin the show.
