Am liking the hit variety. That hit by Pierre would have never occured in 2K8..

Trevy, I was about to post the same thing. I don't recall ever seeing a slow, looping line drive last year. Not once.

In that Reds video, something is off with the depth perception past the foul lines. The batting coaches, and the bat boy are not in scale with everything within the foul lines. You see this when the pitcher is over at third base near the base coach and you see it also when the bat boy gets Pierre's bat. They are significantly smaller than the other people in the game.

Just curious if anyone else notices it. Not trying to cause problems, lol.

CC still wearing a Indians hat no pic for Blake DeWitt. Theese are little things that should easily be taken care of with no problem, but are the little things that will keep me from buying the game.

That pitcher is a big boy. Also, batboys are smaller. But it was like that a couple years ago. They look to small. I still like what I see. And being able to edit the accessories is huge to me. I love that!

I think we have confirmed no progressive lighting. The reds game starts fully dark in the first inning.

Yeah, I guess it does..that's a bummer...but oh well

I know VC really focused on the basics & re-doing the presentation, but it's time to over-haul every single animation in this game engine. The animations look bad... Hopefully this will be a big focus for them next year...

With regard to the Reds vs Dodgers vid, they by far is the first game to get Great Amercian Ballpark down to a "T"

Detail looks great. Someone mentioned a concern about progressive lighting, I would save that question for the Dev Q&A later today on the 2K Forum. Since it is a exhibition game, they could have picked 8:00 for start time

The things I'm liking so far in these videos:

1. Real-time cut scenes are great. Things like seeing the bat boy pick up the bat add to the realism.
2. Thorne is tremendous. I'm already sick of Hudler in The Show demo.
3. Love the little camera shake in some of the camera views. Adds to realism.
4. NO FRAMERATE ISSUE. Probably the biggest improvement they could've made.
5. Crowd is better than The Show, in my opinion.
6. Overall the presentation is so much better than last year.

Things that bother me so far:

1. The yellow pitching zone is too distracting. Should be able to come up with a pitching mechanic that doesn't hide the catcher.
2. Player textures are much poorer than The Show. Given all of the other defects VC had to clean up from last year, however, I'm willing to let this pass.
3. Pitch speed seems very slow. Pitches that clock in the mid 90s look like 80 mph changeups. Maybe sliders can fix this.
4. Looks like scoreboards around stadiums are static. Not a huge deal, but it's still not up to The Show standards.

Overall I'm pleased to see progress has been made.

I loved the videos. The one thing I don't like and 2k hasn't gotten it right is the Alternate uni's the Mariners had on. The pants were white and they were the away team

The animations look bad... Hopefully this will be a big focus for them next year...

But at least the transition animations are fairly smooth. It's watchable this year, unlike past versions where I couldn't stand to look at the herky-jerky motions.

I like what i saw in these videos. Can someone say collision detection?. It was good seeing the ball hit CC in the back and not go through him. This game is looking real nice. Let remember it's only a preview build. This game reminds me of an updated MVP

I agree. To me this looks way better then 2k8.
