if you could please, post up a screenshot of what you consider to be "natural looking" athletes in a sports video game, any game will do. thanks in advance.

If you can't stand these, then you are in trouble. NO game has them perfect and this game seems to be the closest. But these are all opinions.

Timmy is pretty ripped. That is the truth. he not as skinny as you think. And 5'9'' and 175 is a pretty solid size. What is a amaizng about that video he was already throwing hard and didn't even warm up first. He is a feak! He says he only needs about 7 pitches and he is good to go.

Slightly off-topic, but I had no idea that Lincecum was only 5' 9". His height completely smacks in the face of normal scouting for ballplayers (you have to be at least 6 feet tall and then project growth or they won't even look at you). Really refreshing to see a guy who would be considered short dominate the league like he has.

It sounded like sarcasm to me, but I could be getting old...

              Re: Player Models

I am surprised no one has mentioned the problems with these player models. For one, the main thing that is obvious is the "over developed" upper back and shoulders.

They have that hunchback look. Especially Timmy.

And they all have FAT bottoms and THICK legs.

I think the player models are not well at all either. 2K7 was nice, but they degraded over the years.

This I agree with. The basics of the models are right (at least proportionally), but Timmy in particular looks like chapter 1 in Jose's new book

Nothing major though, it's just quite noticeable from the behind the pitcher view is all.

The models overall look great. The issue is some MLB players' bodies might not look exactly the way they're depicted in the game. Not much of an problem IMO. You can't expect every player in the game to have an individual, unique body type.

Yeah 5'9 175 is an okay size. Too bad he's 5'11 170. Tim is very slender.

You should read the SI article on him "The Freak". It's a great read and goes into detail about how athletic he is and his pitch delivery. It talks about how many pro teams thought he would break down since he's small and is unorthodox. The kid never ices down after pitching - ice is for drinks. His dad is really cool too and has coached him his whole life.

Maybe Timmy just told VC to make him look like a total badass since he IS on the cover and all... I know I would

Wow thanks for that... Great article. I sort of want to play as the Giants now, haha.
