    This is where I disagree.

Player models have to embody a complete package, or close to it, to be considered "best in a baseball game". The textures are not that great at all, the faces are horrible, and they have fat butts, and thick rhino legs.

They have large hands, and just a weird toonish look overall. And the jerseys look flat and not cloth fitting at all.

But hey, everyone's perspective is different.

Hi mo-cap is nice, even if they've made him look a little bigger in the game.

It's the other players that I'd be concerned about, less so models and more the animations, which seem pretty jerky.

I know that most of the discussion is about Lincecum's Model, I think VC has done a good job on the Player Models. Here's the Signature Walk-Up video & you can see different models in there.. Some are more noticable than others

also, i dont understand why they took out the baggy style uniforms, they looked a lot more real to me.

They had to more than likely remove it for optimization and get the game at a stable frame-rate.

The "Baggy Style" is still there, but unfortunately it does look like the clothes are more flat to the body. I have been a huge fan of all the options in the player edit section for player accuracy, but I must say there have been a few things missing in the screenshots that I am nervous that they might have omitted. Hopefully everything is still there, option wise, from the previous two years. Later

The super-baggy clothing option the past two years was ridiculous and unrealistic. Players looked like they were wearing parachutes. If they've toned that down, then that's a good thing.

Totally agree. I still have 2k7 & the Over Baggy Pants look bad. I actually like the "New Look" of the uniforms & how they adjust to the Players body...

                      But each is own...

Maybe but on people like Manny, Fielder, and all of the players with the large butts, legs, and calves, I think the "Super Baggy Pants" were needed." I'm actually not a fan of pants that fit close to the body, it's so unrealistic. If u look at players these days u don't see too many of them wearing pants or jerseys that "fit." Most wear them "baggy." I love 2K's edit options, and that's why I've been more of a fan of 2K than "The Show." But this year "The Show" uped the ante with their player edits adding the cut-sleeves, shades, as well as others. Later

I think it all looks great. I never realized there was an issue with player models or uniforms until I read these threads today... that's how much I noticed!

I'm going to suggest to you that the unis on 90% players in MLB, look like they look in 2K9. I can't fathom why you would say they don't look realistic.

It appears that the pants fit close to the legs, but I think that is 2K basically putting the setting at "Normal" size pants on everyone in the rosters, as I have noticed from past roster releases. In the past I have constantly had to edit the players to look like they do in real life. For instance, take Carlos Pena, he wears his clothes oversized, but within the roster 2K has him set with his shirt as "Normal" and his pants as "Normal", when in actuality it should be "Baggy" (extra long over the shoes), and his jersey "Loose." The Red Sox all wear their shirts "Loose", for the most part (a couple don't), but with the roster they would be "Normal." Maybe another reason why the clothes might look different this year could possibly be because of the abscence of the "wind" animation. In 2K7 and 2K8 they had the clothes move in the wind and because that is not in this years version it could be that clothes would be different or fit different, but who knows. Later

I went back and watched one vid, and I see the pants do sorta kinda look a bit tight. There's a second, baggier option, right? Because those have to be as tight as they get.
