LOL, like I said, I didn't play 2K baseball last year so this new fandangled pitching method is completely new to me. Needless to say, my pitches are coming in there fatter than a bad Tim Wakefield knuckler.

TJ can you tell us what dificulty you are playing on? Also can you tell us the final pitch counts for both pitchers at the end of a game you finish, and how many HRs were hit?

      Thank you !

You can turn on button pitching in the options though, correct?

Your probably right. It would be like a cheat code or something.

Haven't really played a game yet. I've just been checking little odds & ends things for people here on OS. Don't use me for a barometer on pitch count either. I'm new to this pitching method...so I'm going to suck at it for a while.

This is the first time he's used these controls. So obviously his pitch counts, etc. aren't going to be accurate.

Thanks for quick response and if i could give you a lil nit pick question, could you play at royals stadium and tell me if you can hear the fountains ever and if the gigantic replay board in center actually works?

                      Thanks again

Sure, but not come hell or high water, dude. Hitters aren't able to just put it where they want to each and every time they put a ball in play. In the demo, if you push up on the stick, you are hitting the ball in the air, regardless of pitch location. I found it impossible to hit a ball on the ground unless I held the stick down.

I'm sorry, but that isn't realistic, and it isn't particularly fun, either. MVP used a similar system, but even they weren't anywhere near that rigid with it. Aiming the stick was only part of the equation. Pitch speed, timing, and other things were taken into consideration. Here, at least on the demo, it seems like your stick aim is the overriding factor, regardless of anything else.

Don't get me wrong. I actually like the idea of what they did here. I just feel it needs a bit of tweaking. I am hoping that the combo of sliders and increasing the difficulty will improve it.

lol dont worry, i sucked to it took me like 5 demo tries to get the hang of the pitching.

And a question on the homeruns dont know if they were away or home, did they fully celebrate cause in the demo seemed like it was cut, also how is the Crowd on it does the crowd become quite all of a sudden or do the cheer loud for a while?

If you post a pic of the jerseys, I can tell you. Looks like the same old jerseys for me. They do have a red alternate jersey now, I don't remember seeing that one before.

I didn't play last year's game so I don't know which pitching style you're talking about.

Disagree, you still had to swing the right time, I swung late holding the stick to pull the ball in the demo and the ball still went opposite field.

But yes, having a slider for that is always good.
