they removed the slider for CPU batter aggression, or maybe take ball/strikes. Which is ironic since the issues so far has been that the CPU swings at anything near the zone.

      Re: Editing batting stances

Like most I have fun spending a great deal of time editing sig stances for pitchers/batters in previous baseball titles. And although, I'm very dissapointed they took out the editing of stances it's just not enough for me to pass on this game. I just really enjoy the gameplay as oppose to the other game which I have also tried.

Oh well, hopefully the developers are indeed reading the forums and finding out that most are dissapointed that the option for editing stances have been taken out, and maybe they'll do something about it for this year and not next year's installment. It's very unlikely, but somehow they can add it in a patch.

Reason #8907235 we should have a plethora of generic stances to choose from. IMO that would impress me more if they add 300 generic stances next year as opposed to signature stances.

This isn't a deal breaker for me but it doesn't make me happy. No matter how visually appealing or how great the gameplay is in 2k10 I will not buy that game if they don't re-include the sliders and editing options they took out of 2k8, fix the batter over aggressiveness, and add 40-man rosters/Arbitration/Rule 5 Draft/expanded rosters in Sept./Exhibition or Spring Training mode. The omissions are even more glaring considering the Show has almost all if not everything 2k9 took out.

kind of a deal breaker for me, its at least made me wait til I can pick it up for much cheaper once it starts getting sold by people.

I heard that you also cant edit player attributes? Is that true?

a good number of people passing on the game because of this issue. that's actually a good thing. hopefully vc see's their decision actually hurts their revenue

I'm definetly passing, unless a great patch announcement comes along.

Well at least there are others besides me who find this a game breaker haha.

I thought I was going to buy two games on tuesday, Heck 2K was going to be my first purchase.
Well I must say, I will be waiting to hear about these ridiculous exclusions in the game.
It is a head scratcher to take out this much stuff.
Their tagline really does show what they did to the game.

I think I'm going to still buy it tomorrow around the midnight opening at Gamestop, but I may hold off on opening it until I hear from the devs this week about a potential patch down the road to fix some of these issues (mainly the AI swing aggressiveness and stance edits). Its still very hard for me to fully convert to being a full-time Show gamer since I greatly prefer the control mechanics from 2K, so I'm hoping there are enough complaints from the hardcore community to get VC to come up with a relatively swift solution.

I was going to pick this up, but now I'm going to sit down and edit my 2k8 rosters for 2009 and play that unless I hear a great patch that fixes the A.I. aggressiveness, allows us to edit all the minor league teams, and edit stances and deliveries. If I hear all that, then I will probably pick this up, because it does a lot of things well. Playing the demo, I love how it seems like the opposing pitcher has a plan for every hitter and sticks to it. But these little things that aren't in ruin the game's depth for me.
