Theoretically, couldn't you go into Situation mode, and just start at the very beginning? I'm almost certain you'd be able to set everything to your liking that way.

Since there's no Exhibition mode in 2k9....
I'm wondering : can they patch it so you can edit CPU lineups? I have no idea if this sort of thing can get fixed. HOWEVER, I did have an idea.

Re: Since there's no Exhibition mode in 2k9....
Make 4 roster saves. Save #1 has every CPU teams' #2 starter moved to the #1 slot in the rotation; Save #2 has every CPU teams' #3 starter moved to the #1 slot in the rotation; etc. Load whichever save you want for a pick up and play game.
I can't imagine there would be any need to further edit CPU teams' defense/batting order, so this solves the problem, right?Comment

If you have two controls, no doubt. But I'm not going to spend another $60 on a controller just so I can change CPU pitchers pre-game.Comment

Not a fix, just a workaround - the Show had (probably still has) the same issue.Comment

Re: Since there's no Exhibition mode in 2k9....
I swore in some of the videos I saw that when they are doing the pre-game with "studio" guy saying it's time for baseball on 2K sports or whatever it popped up in the left or right hand corner saying press "x" to set lineups. Is this not in the retail version?
Edit: Sorry, it's the START button, it says it in the lower left corner. It's in the Mariners - Yankees video at GCHD. http://gamecinemahd.com/video/major_...eball_2k9/3861Last edited by modog123; 03-01-2009, 03:45 PM."Boston's tenth man could not be wrong

Re: Since there's no Exhibition mode in 2k9....
I just tried this & it works. Once you've made the changes & before the 1st batter you must go to Options, then Choose Side. Move the 2nd controller to the middle, once in the middle shut the controller down using the Guide Button.

That's like complaining you got apple instead of orange after ordering "fruit juice." Don't have a seizure, JF. There's a PLAY NOW mode, which is a variation of EXHIBITION. And there are two easy work-arounds if you want to adjust CPU pitchers/lineups.Comment
