I understand why a lot of people are pissed about the removal of exhibition, the ability to edit batting and pitching stances, so on and so forth. But those things just aren't important to me.

I've played the demo a lot during the past week, and love it. Yes, there are problems and technical glitches. But the only "big" problem for me is the over-aggressive CPU. If Visual Concepts patches that, I'm confident 2K9 will play a good game of baseball between the lines. That's all I care about.

I played a lot of 2K8 and liked it, despite its faults. An incomplete demo has already made it clear (in my mind) that 2K9 is a much better game. That's enough for me.

Like you, I can put up with all the other little annoyances, BUT the AI hitting must be fixed or I am selling mine off.
I've read this alot about not striking them out. I've played the demo over 20 times and the game before last, I struck out 6 batters in 3 innings. I also got 3 looking strikes, 2 on the first pitch and all i did was do what the catcher asked.
I'm not denying that they do swing way more than they should, but people are over-exaggerating the problem. Again, I don't have any problem getting k's.

I can't justify an entire day's pay for a product that doesn't work.

how does the game play once the ball is put into play, does the cpu throw to the appropriate bases, hit cutoff men, try to score from 2nd on basehits they should score on. I remember back in earlier 2k games that if i had a runner on 2nd (for example) and two outs and i were to hit a grounder to ss they would sometimes try to get the runner out trying to go third instead of simply throwing to 1st for the final out, is stuff like this still in the game.

SO a crippling franchise bug is not working the way I WANT?
