Re: AARRGHHH!!
But anyway hold the disc up to a strong light at various angles and look for scratches or damage. You could try cleaning the disc but I would just see if you can exchange it for another copy, claiming its defective. -
Re: AARRGHHH!!
Don't fret! Just keep popping it in until it works! My 360's disc drive is very fickle too. It usually detects game discs as DVD discs, and I have to repeatedly open/close the tray.
I sometimes pull out the tray, hoping the realign it with the slot.Comment

Re: AARRGHHH!!
Well I just put in a DVD and it quit working. I don't use it very often. Mainly it's used as my DVD player when i don't want to use my computer.
If they try and charge me to get it repaired...they can stick it up their butts and when i get a little more cash I'll switch to a PS3.
I've had this 360 for about 2 years never a problem (bought it new on E-bay for about $120 in an auction)...not even the Red Ring fiasco that many people suffered.
I barely play it except for DVD's every once in a while.Comment

Re: AARRGHHH!!
I don't have the time to play a ton man. I mainly play sports games and GTA...but for the most part I do other things. I'm almost 30...it's pretty much just a "kill some time" thing for me.
I sent an e-mail to them...so hoping they respond.
I'd hate to have to get angry if they try to charge me the cost of repair of the drive because I like the 360...but I also want something that works. My nephew has a PS3 and hasn't had a single problem with itComment

Re: AARRGHHH!!
My last xbox 360 kept freezing up, don't think it had anything to do with the dvd drive since it happened during demos off the hard drive too. It only produced a rrod once and a while after it froze up, was hard to reproduce. In any case, I sent it in, I doubt they saw the rrod during testing but they repaired it anyway. May be worth a shot.
But if they want to charge you, you don't have to pay if you don't want the broken system back...and why would you in this condition.Comment
