    PC version controller issues.

I have a Logitech Rumblepad. It shows up in the game controller screen but when I go to the controller config screen to customize my controls the only screen I can get to is "batting". I have used arrow on the keyboard and everything I can think of so far. If I use the mouse arrow to click on the right arrow next to "batting" it thinks I am clicking in the first box down below.
The default setting have the buttons all throwing to strange places. It is not set up like the baseball diamond which I think is rediculous but that is beside the point as long as I can get to the screen to change it eventually.
I really like the game so far but it is unplayable for me without being able to customize it some.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Not working for me. The "7" button switches between the mouse/keyboard and Rumblepad selections but nothing I do will switch from batting to the others.
I guess I am going to have to go buy a usb xbox controller with a cord.

again, use the shoulder button on the RIGHT side. i have the same gamepad and it works. the left one switches input device, yes but did you bother trying the one on the right side?

if that doesn't work, then it's ur gamepad.

This should be fine with the corded XBOX controller right? 48% done on the demo so I should find out soon enough.

Thanks for the help but yes I did try the right shoulder buttons. Maybe the controller is bad or I could have possibly remapped it for something else. I will load the default controls and try again.

Yes, the corded XBOX 360 controller works perfectly.

Definetly a problem with the controller settings for the PC. My Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 works fine on other games, and in the Control Panel Test. Guess I'll have to wait for an update. Must have only been tested with xbox and wired controllers. Either that or problems with Vista

Looks Like they don't support wireless controllers!!! What?

                    Yes, I had this problem.

You have to use the [ and ] buttons to change it. Once you go into the "action buttons" list, you can set the general config for all the buttons and axis. This fixes it.

Yes using the keyboard shortcut will change between fielding and batting, but button presses still do not work in the game (except for what they were originally (un)programmed for.

My Logitech Dual Action works ok for this game, but will definitely consider 360 controller. The controls are funky and when I tried to reconfigure the batting controls it messed everything else. Anyone know how to access zone hitting with the Logitech controller?

OP, do you have 4 shoulder buttons on your rumblepad?

Well I bought a 360 controller with the cord and it is night and day. Works great and controls do what they are supposed to do now. Very fun game so far. Computer has done some strange stuff like running in place against the outfield wall while I run all the way to third base but I moved up in difficulty and it seems to be better.
Worth $20 for sure. Stadiums look great.
My only complaint so far is the shoes! They look horrible.

                              Re: PC version controller issues.

I've noticed a problem with my Saitek P880 controller which I've been using it since MVP04. I'm trying to play the demo and it recognizes the P880 lets me map buttons, however, I noticed that the settings I made didn't work in the game.

I tried to map the buttons so that they were the same as they are for MVP05 (e.g. swing = button 3, bunt = button 10, etc.), however, they didn't seem to "stick". After trying this multiple times I found that the settings I make on one control screen (pitching, batting, baserunning, etc.) will be the same on another screen.

For example, if I go to the pitching screen and I assign button 1 to whatever is listed as the first item, then button 1 will be assigned to the first item on the batting screen, the fielding screen, the baserunning screen, etc. If I change the 5th item on the pitching screen, then same setting will be shown for the 5th item on the batting screen, baserunning screen, etc.

I've saved the settings before I leave each screen, however, that doesn't seem to be what's causing the problem.

Anybody else using a P880 and noticing a similar problem?
