Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
pulling the first baseman off the bag has happened to me two or three times (nothing to get to upset about as it happens IRL to) but the catcher not blocking the plate is stupid, i looked at the tutorials and it said that you have to hold down the RB button to block the plate, hope that helps anyone who's had this issue toComment

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
I saw this glitch a total of maybe 2-3 times the first 5-10 games I played. The last 5 or so games, it's happened 2-3 times in each game. I haven't been doing anything differently.
I guess this is a warning to those who haven't seen this happen very often: don't worry, you will. It's only a matter of time.Comment

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
maybe it's also how you are making the throw. In the video, he was on the run and leaning away.
I'm sorry, it's just hard to believe that it's this gamekilling glitch when so many of us have never seen it. I have no doubt this happens too often, I'm not saying there's no problem, just saying that it might overvamped too much, or maybe there is some specific way you guys are throwing. Are you holding the L-trigger?
I don't know, i just think there are so many other issues that need to be addressed before this.GT: Teambayern5

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
When i watch replays off plays at first where the runner is called out, the first basemans foot isnt even on the bag half the time. Very strange. Like the poster said a few posts agao. You WILL see it. first 2 or three games I played, never saw it. Last 6 games at least three a agame, sometimes three in one inning. Its becoming really frustrating, i keep trying to play and end up just turning the game off.Comment

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
Count me in the not too big of a problem camp. 20-30 games in, I've had it happen my 2-3 times, that's with Joe's sliders and I was in the red, off-balance. Seems fine to me.
I think the biggest problem is people throwing in the red or using the button-throwing method.Last edited by FedEx227; 03-07-2009, 06:42 PM.PSN: VoicesWrestling

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
At first, I didn't see it too often.. but now I cringe when I have to throw to 1B.
This is definitely a problem, and I do use RS throwing.Comment

i almost never have the meter in red(button or stick) when these problems happen. I cringe also at every ground ball, its embarassingComment

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
I've posted this before, but when using the buttons to throw to first...if I allow it to move into the red, but not all the way up, I rarely pull the 1b off of the bag.
Using the stick, I only had it happen when the meter went into the red, and even then only when it went "all the way up".
I've gone from having 2-4 errors a game due to this to only having 2 errors over my past 9 games from this issue..and on those times, as soon as I let go of the ball, I knew it was going to be an error (button press in the green and stick throw all the way red).Comment

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
Theres something you guys are doing wrong. I use the stick, and every single time I get the meter in the green the throw is completed. If its all the way in the red i'd say only about 20% of the time is the throw wild or pull the guy off the bag. Seems pretty realistic to me.
Its awesome that some of you aren't experiencing the glitch. I'm happy that you guys don't have to deal with it. But don't tell the people who are, that they are either doing something wrong, or pretend like it doesn't exist.Comment

Re: Missing the bag is OFFICIALLY a problem
Using the R stick to throw I have never, I repeat never had this problem. I also never let my throws get in the red. When I first got the game I would throw to hard and my first baseman would have to jump sometimes to pull in the throw, but other than that, I haven't seen the first baseman come off the bag randomly.Last edited by Eddie1967; 03-08-2009, 08:32 PM.Originally posted by jim416You are the 2k Police. :)Comment
