My roommate and I have played a handful of games, and it happens to HIM all the time, but it doesnt happen to me. We joke around that I bugged the game or something lol. Anyways, I haven't noticed anything different about how we throw to first, but I will try my best to find out (assuming I don't sell the game, I'm honestly getting sick of it). One other thing, he has trouble catching balls in the outfield but I don't, I think he moves the L stick around too much though...
Yeah, I haven't seen it at all in the retail version both on the 360 and the PC. It's weird how some people are getting it several times in an inning and other's aren't seeing it at all. Not sure what's causing it for those who are seeing it.

As for the OF thing, they key to not mssing it at the last second is to get as close to the circle as possible quickly and camp out. The CPU will auto adjust your position. Really sensitive and herky-jerky, but I've never missed a catch in the OF (other than a straight error).

This doesn't fix the weird and random occurance of the CPU's fielder randomly jumping away from the ball at the last second however. This may be the same for the user team too, I don't know...haven't seen it happen. The amount it happens should be at least reduced by just letting the auto-adjust happen.

"Fluid" is not what these controls are, that's for sure...lol

Interesting, so basically run to the circle and stop, seems like my hypothesis was right, he was moving his fielder at the last second which made the auto-field thing not work. Thanks a lot, I'm sure he will appreciate not giving me free runs (if I tell him )
