does the game seem to be running better since the last update. today is the first day i have played with the most recent roster update, and it seems like the framerate issue is a little better, and the outfielders aren't as laggy. i dont know....can they fix that type of stuff through the living rosters?

I play the PC version - I don't have any updates yet.

Runs good on my machine - little chuggy when you have guys on first and third and the runner windows are up.

Aside from that, smooth as silk.

You're not the only one.

I noticed it after updating yesterday (Friday). The game felt smoother and some of the long delays between outs were shortened. I also noticed computer hitters getting a hold of curveballs in ways they haven't in the past.

This seems like a stupid question to ask, but....can I get this little mini-patches without turning on Living Rosters? I really don't want to change Clint Rents to Colby Rasmus again.

Wait, there weren't any updates after the first one on opening day (with Living Rosters), were there? Was there another Roster Update?

well there was a roster update earlier this year... unfortunately it looks like they decide not to tweak ratings with these updates, since the ratings in this game are whack

Just save your roster with a new name, and use it for your exhibition games. Then it will not be affected by the living roster updates. Then, when the season starts, and Colby is on the team (I hope), start using the new one.

I agree the the living rosters are kind of a pain in this regard. It resets all of your line-ups as well. It's nice that Schumaker has been rated for 2B, which happened pretty early on, but I tire of having to adjust the line-up every frakkin' time.

There have been a few, actually. They happen in one of the screens that comes up as the game loads your settings and such.

It could be placebo effect. I noticed for me that the 2kTicker is working for the first time, so I guess there could have been other things besides the roster updating.

I'm convinced the last update did more than rosters. As someone mentioned, the 2K Sports Ticker now works. During a game today (Red Sox vs. Cubs), Josh Beckett also got rocked -- on curveballs, no less.

I had a couple great games today -- I'm really loving it.

Probably just a coincidence. I really think they would tell us if they changed anything significant in the roster update. Ron is keeping a pretty good tab on what is changing in each update over at the 2K forum.........unless he forgot to post something, but if it was something this good, I'm pretty sure he would've posted it.
