1B not stepping on the bag

I was with those complaining about this annoying glitch, but recently I have really made an effort to square up and throw the ball better. Haven't seen this in 5-6 games now, even with throws in the red.

Do most use the LT when throwing the ball?

I've noticed that when using LT while throwing, I have less errors. But *$%@, I HATE when routine plays lead to unearned runs because of this damn glitch. However, I've noticed it is rather easy to pickoff runners, so, whenever players reach on this stupid glitch, I go the extra mile in attempting to pick them off.

i know it exists, but it hasnt really affected me much. i may be in the minority, but it has only happened to me 3 times in 30 games played. anyway, i only use the hurry throw thing when i need to. like if there is a fast player, or i need to turn a double play.

It happened to me on the first play of my first game and I haven't seen it since(played about 7-9 more games). That being said, I'm still getting a feel for the game and I've not tried using LT on infield throws. As I get more used to the controls I will probably use LT more frequently which sounds like it will result in seeing this bug more. But for me, no LT has resulted in this bug being a non-issue so far.

oh i'll have 2 try that. i didnt get a manual with the game cuz i bought it used from gamestop

It's definitely usefull for trying to get the DP turned with a bit more urgency or try to gun a guy out.

As for the 1B thing, I really think it has nothing to do with the issue people are having one way or the other.

People are looking for ways to "fix" it so they will likely see results no matter what the method is.

So far to "fix" the issue, people have been convinced of at least one of the following:

-Use the meter, not buttons,

-never hit the red

-Use the quick throw

-push the L stick in the direction of 1st when you throw it there.

I've NEVER had the 1B issue and the only one of those I occassionally do (without paying attention...just realized it when someone brough it up) is I sometimes hold the left stick in the direction of first.

I think if you do not square up (ie move towards the base you are going to) the meter moves a lot faster and thus the chance of going into the red is increased. This is what I was getting at.

For those who will start using the LT also, it too moves the meter faster.

It's more frustrating when you're hitting and the "1B Foot off the Bag" glitch happens to the CPU. It's happened to me quite a bit. There's no fix for that one other than the patch.

Hmmmm. Wonder if turning errors off will temporarily resolve the issue.

The last two games I've played against the Royals, I've gotten this 1B glitch a total of four times. I rarely hit the red and each time that happened I was in the green. I noticed that each time it happened they had a HUGE inning scoring between 4 and 7 runs.

This glitch coupled with the outfielders forgetting to catch the damn ball is quickly making this game unplayable for me

I don't know what I am doing differently, but I've played ~10 games so far and have never seen this. Only once did my 1st basemen come off the bag, but that was done appropriately. (My throw was offline and it would have gone by him otherwise.)

I don't doubt that others are really seeing this glitch, and maybe I'm just a lucky SOB... but so far I haven't seen it once. It would be great if the 2nd patch made sure it's never going to be a problem for me.

It has happened to me at least a 5 times in the 5 games i've played. It is rather frustrating. As far as the quick throw. Do you hold LT while throwing? Or is it something your press before the throw? I've tried both and it still seems very slow and my DPs are rarely turned...

EDIT: In a game right now up 2-0 on the Blue Jays and I'm the Tribe. A 1B not on the bag leads to a baserunner, Rios would then single. Then Choo has a line drive go right over his ahead as he fails to put up his glove to bring in a run. I then get Rolen to K, but right after that we see another 1B not on the bag glitch and its a tie ballgame!! Three glitches in one inning! This patch can't come soon enough!!
