if you have a pc, get the pc version
for all the mods. from uniform changes, to stadium updates, bat and ball mods, etc. its been worth having two versions of the game. I find myself playing more of the pc one than 360 due to the mods. go to mvpmods.com and check out the different updates.Tags: None -
Re: if you have a pc, get the pc version
It will hopefully bypass the editing cap and allow stances, etc to maybe be changed (I say "maybe" because apparently the stances/deliveries are tied to the player face. That would make for some interesting choices with CAPs and rookies...lol).
For me, I've edited the Nats and Sox uniforms (to a darker blue for both) in addition to installing plenty of the other mods available. Just having a hard time digging into it though. Still, it was free for me (gift) and even for the normal 20$ tag, it's at least a decent little diversion to pick up and play.Comment

Re: if you have a pc, get the pc version
If someone can get a datafile out for the game it will totally change the gameplay. The bad thing is if it can be done for 2k9 it probably will be awhile for it to be out along with a slider set that compliments it.
I have heard good things so far about the mod progress already. PC games def allow people freedom to make games last.GT: Herkyalert

Re: if you have a pc, get the pc version
If there's one mod you get...go to mvpmods and get the "realistic pitching" mod.
It removes the ball cursor, gets rid of the "HOLY EARLY SWING BATMAN" logos, and gives you a little better icons about where a pitch was.
It makes pitching pretty difficult. I've walked more than one batter unintentionally by trying to work the outside of the plate. Sometimes you make the pitch, sometimes you don't. But without seeing the cursor, you don't really know where that exact edge of the strikezone is on the pitch. And if you go too much over the plate(at least with default all-star batting sliders), they will put it out....Comment

Re: if you have a pc, get the pc version
Hi
I live in the UK and have a UK 360 and PS3. I have imported The Show for the PS3 - great game. I tried the demo of MLB 2K9 on the 360 and really enjoyed it - reading some positive post patch impressions now too. It hasn`t been released in the UK and I can`t import it for the 360 as it`s not region free.
Just noticed MLB2K9 is on offer at direct2drive for PC at £4.95 until today - Is it worth getting for the PC and how close to the 360 version is it ?
CheersComment
