I'm not talking about the clunky interface and butt-ugly bat cursor -- those need work. What I'm referrring to is the bat-on-ball hitting results. The hit variety is remarkable, and feels more realistic than any zone hitting system I've come across in a baseball game.

Oh yes, I agree with that, I also love the pitching in this game, using release timing and upping the pitcher sliders to make it harder, pitching is a challenge and much better then the Show IMO, if they only fixed the rest of the game, lol.

That's a slider issue. You can adjust the CPU sliders and pitchers will throw more pitches down the middle, and will also miss the plate by a several inches instead of always painting corners.

The problem with adjusting the AI pitch success slider is it makes it to easy to hit HR's. It is not just a sldier sisue, game shoudl playd ecent out of the box, and not require so much fooling around to try and get to play decent.

[QUOTE=JBH3;2039536883]No. I never put them on 2K share...trust me though you'll enjoy the game at least a little more w/ my sliders. It'll take 5-10 minutes tops to make the slider adjustments. Just start from default all-star, make my adjustments, and you're set.

Thanks- I tried them out and it was actually a decent game. Nat Mclouth led off for me and I blasted one over the right field wall! haha I was like ok- this is cool! lol In the end I won 11-7 but only because the CPU AI mad 3 bone head plays that cost them 4 runs! Need I say anymore?

This game is basically want you make of it. If you can forget that it is not going to play smooth and not have any AI glitches or annimation quirks, then you can enjoy it but dam that is a hard thing to do!

Depends on your hitting sliders. I played with Success at 0 (it's nothing but a cheat slider), Contact at 30 and Power at 50 (I think it was). I played 2K9 for ten days or so, and hit exactly zero HR's in that time.

That's just as bad, zero HR's still need to be there, lol.

Well, I actually only hit 1 HR and if it wasn't for the CPU AI fluffs then I would have lost 7-6. It was just one game and remember I use the Pirates who are not a slug fest type team.
I actually would rather most of my games be 5-10 runs as appossed to 1-2 games. To me that is really boring.

Never said 1-2 runs did I, but getting too many hits and the game being no challenge to hit is boring, why play if there is no challenge?

I'm not saying you said anything and the definition of a challenge is different for everyone... I just would like to play a bit higher scoring games so basically 11-7 is a good scoring game for me that is all. What ever scores you like is your prerogative. Every once in a while I do enjoy a good pitchers duo though. To me it’s like watching a football game that is 3 and out every possession and then someone gets a field goal and wins 3-0. That may have been a great game but I would rather see some great scoring plays. Each to there own right.

11-7 is bad? What is your freaking point of even being here? Are there not 11-7 games in baseball? Are errors not made?

Phillies had 3 errors last night in the Mets/PHI game, but it just so happens that the Mets were only able to get 6 baserunners on base the entire game. Had their been even more runners on base each error would've likely cost a run or more.

In addition, Philly had the best D in the NL heading into that game, and had only made 5 errors all of April but committed 3 in this one game...Had this happened in one of your games, a troll like you would've complained about AI and fielding blah blah blah...

Why be in here if you don't like the game?? Go somewhere else bro...you're quickly becoming one of the most annoying people here.

Blitzburgh - trust me...you'll see pitchers duels, they will happen. However, it's unlikely to see a duel w/ a lesser pitcher. For instance, to see a Chan Ho Park type pitcher do what he did last night in MLB 2k9 will be rare, but good pitchers will duel.

Shoot...Matt Cain had a no hitter against me after 8.1 innings pitched...I broke it up getting a total of 3 hits, but he still shut me out 4-0.

Go to the "FRANCHISE PROGRESS" thread, and read up on some of my posts about my games...you'll find a great variance. You'll also see people saying the same thing in my slider thread too.

How cute I have an internet stalker. Flattering, but i don't swing that way bro.

I suggest see a shrink, as getting this angry over a video game sure is unhealthy. Get a life Broza. 11-7 is a rarety in baseball, with your easy sliders it unfrotunately is a regular occurance. 3 errors happen, but are rare, once again, in this game is a regular thing. For this to happen in the first game = bad sign.

Who said anything about hate? it is a game, lol, how can you hate a game? It is fun but vastly flawed which is widely documented, relax, you will live longer.

Don't flatter yourself as you're the one who has "tracked me down"...and have seemingly found your way into threads I've either created or posted in before you.

You must've read through my entire slider thread to find that one page where YOU think I gave someone bad advice. to then call me out on it. For reasons I've yet to understand...yea...who's the stalker?

In regards to "hate"... You seem like you hate the game...you won't let Blitzburgh have fun w/ it because you're questioning why he likes something etc. Let the man be, and let him enjoy what of it he can.

Besides that...all your posts about the game just seem to want to re-hash all of the already widely reported issues. Basically you accomplish nothing more than being a whiney little girl...which I'm going to assume you are since that's how you're portrayed in your posts.

                              Good day.

I'm back to 2K7 using the "Perfect Slider Set" or something like that. Of all the choices, 2K7 IMO plays a decent ballgame once you get the sliders right and:

                                1. Only push UP on thumbstick if you correctly guess the Batters Eye.

                                2. Don't swing on 3-0 (99% of the time a meatball)

I'm really having to "focus" to win games. Then again, I'm 46 and my batting reflexes are JUST a tad slow

Of course, updating the rosters to current is VERY frustrating.
