But I really see no HORRIFIC slumps in the near future that'll knock that average down to anything less that .360 or whatever.. Here's a theory that I just remembered. Do you walk alot? If you don't, you can justify those extra hits as walks that the batter would have gotten in real life (as long as they aren't all doubles, tripes, or hr's for that matter). What you need to look at, if someone's hitting .350 with little to no walks, is his career avg OBP around .350?

Its a good way to justify all those hits.

I've had huge problems with hitting. I strikeout about 8-15 times a game, so I bumped the pitch speed down to fast and that is helped in the first 5 innings (only three K's). I scored one or less runs in 7 of the last 10 games, but I've got four through 5 at home. I scored 1, 0, and 4 runs in Colorado...

Yeah, that makes sense... I DO draw walks, and get intentionally walked, but I'm aggressive at the plate by nature, and is not limited to just softball... lol

I normally don't swing until I see a strike, and then it's on... but normally the 2nd pitch is a strike unless the CPU pitcher is really, honestly struggling...

Thing that DOES make me feel a little better is that if you look at League Leaders in Averages, you'll see me as #1 and #2, then there is like 5-6 guys, then there's me at #8 or whatever, then I got 2 more guys spread out in the next 5-10 players on the list. So it's not like I'm the ONLY one hitting like Dimaggio Re-incarnate

I think you should be hitting better, but hey, Sosa's slumping in real life, you should be entitled to too... hehe

The only thing I'm leading the league in is strikeouts. Sosa,Patterson (before I sent himdown), Alou and Lowell (traded for him: Bobby Hill, Kyle Farnsworth and Alfonseca) are all leaders in that area. Lowell has caught on the Cub K parade, striking out 10 out of the last 14 ABs....
