I enjoyed 2k9 for the most part. The random bugs were annoying but, for the most part I like the game. the franchise freeze issue was my main gripe. I still want the new game after last years version.

You can do whatever you want with your money. I am kinda excited for this game too because it is my only option and would like to play a baseball game this year, so I hope for the best.

I wont buy the game until I read the reviews.
And I would Hope that when the game comes out it will explain what EACH Slider means!!!!!!!!!
If You know what they do then you can adjust each as you like, with 2k9 there are only a couple that I know how and why to adjust...

How soon we forget 360 owners only have 1 CHOICE for their Baseball Fix. So for that, 360 owners are part of the problem. C'mon people let those who are purchasing & want this years title to be good (Myself Included) be optimistic without raining on the parade...

I agree with this. In fact, I'm sure their are PS3 owners who are more looking forward to this than The Show. Believe it or not, some people actually aren't "settling" when they purchase this game.

I don't see that as "part of the problem." Now, if you're bitching about the game each year, and then rushing out to preorder it the next then yes, that may be part of the problem...lol.

I traded in my copy of NHL 09 today (recieved NHL 2k10 for christmas.) and used that credit towards my deposit on MLB 2k10.

I am going to purchase the game March 3rd no question about it. I own a 360 and love baseball too freaking much.

I guess if it was my only choice, I would preorder as well since i love baseball too, but, fortunately for me I have a PS3 so I will wait for the verdict on MLB 2k10 before I drop $60 for it. Ive been disappointed too many times with MLB 2K that I finally learned my lesson.

Im hoping that 2K10 is a huge improvement over 2K9 and other iteration from the past. The more baseball games available to play is a good thing in my mind

I'm seriously not trying to start anything here, but, if you were buying a console SOLELY for baseball... why in the world would you get a 360 and not a PS3?

I'm still considering on buying a PS3 for the sole purpose of the Show. I also said this last year, but with the price down for the PS3, I think I might have to make that possible.

If you think about it though 2K9 was a lot better than the mess of 2K8, and VC didn't have a full dev cycle. So I'm a little optimistic about this years being good. Although the lack of screens, and videos has me a little worried. But I wouldn't pre order it, I'll wait for the demo.

The A.I Batters swing at anything in the strike zone.

Outfielders often refuse to catch what should be an easy fly out.

The pitching controls are a watered down version of 2k8's.

They took out playable A and AA teams.

They took out the customize options that 2k8 had.

No take out slides(2k8 had them).

Free Agency was an even bigger mess than 2k8's was.

The fielding is worse than 2k8's.

First baseman's often don't have there foot on the bag when they catch the ball.



The only things that were improved were the hitting and base stealing controls, commentary, and online play.

Graphics, Presentation, Lighting, Stadiums all were better in 2k9. Which IMO made it much better than 2K8. I will agree fielding was a mess in 2k9 as well as Franchise Mode. As for overall feel, 2k9 was a better game IMO
