MLB 2K was called out by the stakeholders for being a big reason TT lost money. There is a lot of pressure on that team to improve sales. They only sold around 130,000 copies on the PS3 and much more on the 360. The biggest way to improve is to sell more copies on that system.

And I agree that Sony is slow and often behind MS when it comes to certification. But too much smoke around this fire imo. The Show demo has always been out much earlier than this.

And for the record, I have bought the Show for four straight years. But I'm going to give 2K10 an honest look on my PS3. As great as the Show is, the core gameplay and mechanics haven't changed much. Some of us might just want a change of pace. I won't be buying either game on release day. I will be playing demos and renting games before I make up my mind. That's why I would have preferred to have both demos out sooner.

I would imagine the shareholders calling them out on low sales is due to just how crap MLB2k has been the last couple years though to be honest. I plan on gameflying 2k10 and giving it a fair shot, as from alot of the people who have tried the 360 version say its a huge improvement, and hey I'm a sucker for Gary Thorne when it comes to commentary.

I'm no doubt snagging The Show day 1 though, finally owning a PS3 and having been able to play 09 from GF the last week or so, I'm sold. Though I can definately understand Rudy wanting a change of pace after a few years of playing just one.

Sales of MLB 2K have not really been that bad overall. The problem the shareholders have is the realization that baseball games sales do not justify the price 2K paid for its weak version of exclusivity.

But this is all a red herring. I can't get worked up over when a game or demo is released. It always comes down to business decisions of some sort. It really doesn't matter if it's Sony protecting their game, or 2K putting off the PS3 version. There are so many games out right now, that I can't imagine waiting an extra month would even be a big deal. The demo is free, and we haven't paid for the game yet.

This is almost as comical as the other thread started about this.
            Ronnie...
            ....really?
            RONNIE!?

Let me hear it from someone up the food chain a little in 2K and I'll believe they THINK this happened.
            Still doesn't mean it happened.

But it makes for some very funny internet conspiracies
