Also, Chase's writeups have revealed two instances of the ball smacking someone in the head. Once was a comebacker on Santana, the other was the third baseman. My point is, how much/what did they actually change if this garbage is still occuring?
Game play & Animations are @ different things. What you are referring to is more about Animation/Physics Dept, than Core Game Play.

i hope they let you field on this game i think because of last year they think people did not want to field with out help from the computer how dumb that would be the fielding in the demo feels like world series basball2k1 dreamcast

I agree nem i posted the same feeling in the demo impressions. I hope there is some way to adjust this in the retail version, but my feeling is not. This could be the way they fixed the problems of the fielding from last year

Hopefully it's something like that.
I posted a list of sliders and options in the game from the OS screenshots in the 2K slider forum. You can check on the excel file attached as well.

Also, what is up with the outfielders not facing the proper direction when making a throw? For instance I had the center fielder throw to second but he was facing more towards third and the ball shot out the side of him, lol.
I don't know, but it's pretty bothersome. I've also seen this with second basemen as well. It's like their shoulders are squared up to home plate when throwing to first base. It looks like physically, it'd be nearly impossible to make the throw to first base, but they do. It's definitely awkward.

LOL @ "the ball shot out the side of him." That's the same thing that I saw.

Honestly for how much people complained about mlb 2k8.. I really think it was one of the best in the series if the graphics were on par with 2k7 and the hitting had more variety.. The fielding was absolutely awesome in that game.

2k10 has nailed it with the hitting and pitchin but other than that they really fall short in almost every other area in terms of gameplay.

                Re: mlb2k10 fielding

The fielding in the demo is keeping me from buying the game. Ever since behind the pitcher became the default pitching view fielding in baseball games is off b/c I have no idea where the ball is going and have little/no time to react.

I know real fielders have no time to react, but I don't ever remember this problem in my days playing baseball on NES, SNES, N64, and HH on original Xbox.
