Ive been playing franchise since the game came out. I cant seem to get into it. The stats are unrealistic. I play on basic mkharsh sliders with 75 pitch success for cpu. I still seem to average over 10 a game. Im using padres. So I raised it to 85 mid game and hit a rbi double first time. This is making no sense to me

I'm controlling all 30 mainly focusing on the Red Sox and only playing their games. Anyway sitting below .500 with the Sox, I made a few moves with the Padres. I released Tony Gwynn because he was an automatic out in their linup. I then signed Jermaine Dye to a 1 yr deal, put him in right and moved one of their corner OF to CF. I think I'm going to trade Dice-K around the Deadline maybe Ellsbury too. I'll probably end up trading for another bat in the lineup, and possibly a SP. Just drafted potentially my next closer. He's rated a 59 but his POT is a 96!! Hes 20, I will probably bring him up when hes 22 unless something dier happens. I also plan on rebuilding the Pirates and Jays, (the O's are 2nd in the East)!!

Just got the game today and started a franchise w/ Tampa, a 56 game season.

                Moves so far:
                - Signed Russel Branyan (replacement for Pat Burrell as DH)
                - Signed P Erik Bedard
                - Traded Erik Bedard and Matt Joyce for Jayson Werth
                - Traded Pat Burrell and Wade Davis for Jonathan Sanchez

I'm 4-1 so far (only loss coming to NYY) and playing well atm. Happy w/ the lineup, so I don't see me making many more moves for a little while, though I'm considering adding some power.

I am struggling with the Mets to the tune of a 16-26 record. Hitting has been horrible..The middle of my order (Wright, Beltran, and Bay) are hitting .213, .224, and .211 respectively. Ike Davis is hitting .284 with 5 homeruns, but other than that, we are last in the league in runs scored.

Pitching has been solid. I've made 2 trades so far. One was with the Rockies who lost Olivo for the season and had Iannetta on the 15 day DL. Mets dealt Rod Barajas and and ML reliever for Jason Hammel and Matt Daley. Hammel is the 5th starter (Chacin took his place in Colorado).

Daley and Jeff Francouer were sent to Texas for David Murphy, who was in triple-A. Murphy is the 4th outfielder Francouer wasn't.

I could make a Luis Castillo and Ollie Perez for Zambrano trade...not sure.

Also, I'm thinking about packaging Ike Davis, Fernando Martinez, and a pitcher for Prince Fielder. Not sure. Thoughts?

I wouldn't; Ike Davis is a potential first baseman for the future and he's your best hitter.

I'm 9-6 so far, 2nd in the AL East. Pitching has been great, with Shields, Garza, and Price having outstanding ERA's (Shields - 1.23, Garza - 1.48, and Price - 2.14). I'm 2-0 with Shields and 3-0 with Garza, but just 1-2 with Price. My offensive leader isn't who you'd think it would be either - it's Kelly Shoppach. I'm hitting .370 with him, with 6 HR, 9 RBI, and an outstanding slugging % of .761. Longoria hasn't been too bad either, and Bartlett has a good hitting streak going (not sure exactly how long it is). About to play against Boston - Beckett vs. Garza.

I shipped Branyan and Novarro to LA for Manny, as well. Branyan's way too inconsistent for my liking.

I like the trade for Manny. I am 19-19 in my Tigers dynasty and need to find a setup/closer person. Joel Zumua has been terrible this year 0-3 4 blown saves and a 13.44 ERA.
                        Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

                          Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

I decided to blow up the roster of the Kansas City Royals in spring training, shipping off of all veterans and letting the young core play and grow on the major league level, like Moore should have in real life.

After several trades, a highly revamped roster looks as such:

C- Jonathan Lucroy - 73 (Trade with MIL)
                          1B- Kila Ka'auhe - 71(AAA Promotion)
2B- Sam Baker - 70 (AA Promotion, not sure if real prospect)
                          SS- Mike Aviles - 79
                          3B - Josh Fields - 71 (AAA Promotion)
                          LF - Alex Gordon - 70
CF - Elijah Dukes - 79 (No brains FA signing)
RF- S. Mason - 77 (Trade with FLA)
                          DH- Butler - 83

                          and the bench:

                          UTIL/1PH: Garrett Atkins - 69 (FA Signing)
                          C: J. Jacobs 67 (AAA Promotion)
                          OF: Mitch Maier - 67
                          2B/SS: Chris Getz - 70

                          Starting Rotation:
                          Ace: Zach Grienke - 92
                          2SP: Luke Hochevar - 73
                          3SP: Sean o' Sullivan - 67
                          4SP: Brian Bannister - 71
                          5SP: Kyle Davies - 66

                          and the revamped bullpen:
Long Right: Eddie Bonine - 72(Trade with DET)
Long Left: Scott Elbert - 67 (Trade with LAD)
                          Middle: Kaneoka Teixiera - 73
                          Jam/LOOGY: J. Norberto - 69 (Trade with HOU)

                          7th/Bridge: Bryan Bullington - 69
                          Set-Up: Tejeda - 79
                          Closer: Joakim Soria - 86

Out: Kendall, Callaspo, Ankiel, Farnsworth, Guillen, Podsednik, Betancourt, Dejesus, Bloomquist, Betemit, Chen, Meche, Marte, Cruz, uniformly anyone in my minor league systems above 30 or with potential lower than 70.

In: Bold, as well as some lower-tier prospects in the minors, I'll update some other time

I attempted to keep the trades as realistic as possible for both sides, swapping to teams with appropriate needs. I received the prize for Dejesus (Mason) and some solid core/pieces for the other talented vets (Kendall, Farnsworth, Guillen, Podsednik, Meche) The others were swapped for youth and years of team control.

I'll show the exact trades and hopefully you all can rate them.

So far we're off to an incredibly surprising 3-0 start, sweeping the Tigers to start the season. Will update more if anyone is interested?

Ruben Tejada and Oliver Perez for Roy Oswalt.
Mike Pelfrey and Ryota Igarashi for Cole Hamels.

Got Pujols back from injury after the All-Star Break. I have won 7 of 9 after the break, but just lost 2 of 3 in a series to the division leading Cubs, entering August I'm 8 GB. Not looking good. Should I be a buyer or seller at the trade deadline?

Threw a 1 hitter w/ Garza (pissed at that one hit, because without it, it would have been a perfect game), lowering his ERA to 1.82. Also had 8 K's in the game. Shields' ERA is below 1 now, as well. Him and Garza are the leaders for the AL in pitching for the All-Star Game, and price is in there as well (6th or 7th).

14-7 atm, 2nd in the AL East and 2 GB of New York. They haven't lost in a loooooong time. :/

I haven't stolen a single base and I have Crawford and BJ Upton. I know I'll more than likely get thrown out, so I don't bother. Those are some good trades, as well.
