I edited 10 teams' contracts, and to test, simmed til the end of the season. There were definitely more FA's than there were normally when I checked. Good sign.
Anyway, I lost 2 of 3 from the Mets

2nd game I played, Oliver Perez vs. Aaron Cook. Cook struggled through 6 innings, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits, but I exploded on the offensive side of the ball, teeing off for 6 runs in the 3rd and 4 in the 5th. When it was all over, I won 14-5. Iannetta had a big day, as did Hawpe and Stewart.
Final game of the series I played as well. Pelfrey against Hammels. I was cruising along with a 3-1 lead until the 5th, when the Mets put up a 6 spot on me to take a 7-5 lead. I was pretty upset

It didnt matter though: I would tie it up in the 7th. Before I discuss how that happened, a little backstory:
Back in 2k7, I had a Rockies franchise like I do now. I had made the playoffs and was facing the Mets in the NLCS. I fell down 3 games to 2 in the series, and Game 6 was to be played at Shea Stadium. I was down 7-4 in the 7th inning when Brad Hawpe came to the plate with 2 runners on and 2 out. He managed to smash a homerun off the foul pole in right to tie the game, truly one of the most dramatic moments of my baseball playing career. I went on to win the series before eventually losing to Boston in the WS (weird how that happened in real life too).
Anyway, with that in mind - Hawpe strode up to the plate in the 7th, runner on, down by 2, against the Mets, and promptly tied the game with a moonshot

It didnt matter as Huston Street would surrender a run in the 9th en-route to me losing 8-7. Still though, thought I would share that with you.
