Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Really? Hmm, are you sure this was in My Player? I don't have the game with me right now to check (Since it was a rental, I returned it yesterday), but when I rent it again I'll definitely check.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
yea im sure it was my player. also.. there used to be a bug where if you requested a trade..you couldn't advance to the next game with your new team but i believe that has been fixed with the latest patch.. can anyone confirm this?

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I have a 3rd year pitcher in My Player mode. Recently my pitches have become unstable.
My Circle Change doesn't go left anymore like it did, my Slider doesn't always break how it should, and my fastball no longer tails to the right. My Forkball is the only pitch that sitll operates the same.
It's not something that I can simply figure out and adapt to, as sometimes the pitches operate normally. It's most frustrating with the circle change which will now go a half plate's length to the right.
Has anyone come across this?Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Okay I am a starting pitcher for the Indians and am rated a 75 overall. My pitches are a fastball (69), slider (66), circle change (64) and sinker (62). here are my other ratings.
Stamina: 72
Composure: 75
LHB: 77
RHB: 73
Right now I'm 4-3 with a 3.72 ERA and a 34 ks. with the new tpatch it has made it harder but i give up a lot of hits. what areas should I improve on? Should I just try to improve the control of my pitches or should I concentrate my skill poins on the other 4 categories? ThaComment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Started a new MyPlayer last night (w/ patch #2 out):
Created another starting pitcher, I'm using John Lackey's windup/stretch animation, and then randomly selected my team; closed my eyes, scrolled right for 60+ seconds to simulate a 'draft'. With that said, was drafted by the Colorado Rockies; Ubaldo and I are going to make one formiddable 1/2 punch when it's all said and done.
Couldn't come through on the clutch moment, but made up for it w/ a 6.1 inning 4 hit, 7K/2BB gem for my first career win -- no earned runs allowed.
However, this was done w/ CPU contact/power @ 50/50. Once I amped up the cpu offense some I started to really struggle. I ended up pitching 10 starts last night, 4 of them I was unable to make it out of the 4th inning w/o giving up some combination of 7+ hits/3 or 4 earned runs to that point.
I finished on a good note though as my last 2 starts were gems. My 9th start I went 7 innings, longest outing in my young career to date, and struck out 6/scattering 6 hits. Then in my 10th start I went 8 innings, striking out 5, and allowing only 5 hits; wanted the CG but was pulled w/ a 9-2 lead.
My ERA dropped from those last two starts from 5.88 to a respectable low-4's, and I hope to improve on that tonight.
My K:BB is outstanding, and Kper9 is great too. Just was allowing one too many hits, and always falling into trouble in the 4th/5th innings; partly due to my stamina being low but I've increased it to 71 and that has extended my effectiveness.
My repertoire consists of:
62 rtg Fastball (currently 93 mph -- which I locate very well).
60 rtg Slider.
59 rtg Changeup.
I want to eventually add a splitter and probably a cutter too, but I want to also have a real nasty fastball/slider combo so it's going to take sometime...
This mode is sooo much more fun now. Think I'll do my best to look past the wonky AI mngmt, and just focus on securing a HOF career.
