I don't have the game yet but one thing I've noticed watching videos and reading through impressions is that the cpu will swing on a 3-0 count. This is unacceptable as nobody is hardly given the green light unless your Albert freakin Pujols and he's sitting dead red.

Re: TWO GLARING ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE PATCHED!!
The ai agressivness at the plate is the same issue from last year where 2k screwed up the inside edge and gave everybody like a D walk rating. I haven't payed much attention to inside edge yet this year but that could be the issue. What I have noticed though is if your not mixing up your pitches and throwing balls the the cpu is gonna hack. I'm playing on pc and I have definitely noticed the cpu taking plenty of walks.
edit: FYI default sliders. and getting 2 strikes isn't the hard part for me, it's getting strike 3! Right now I"m getting 2 per 3 innings which isn't awful, but I'm the Wild Thing man! I want to strike that M-Fer OUT! lol (still a long way to go to get better ratings, I'm sure I'll get more K's then)Last edited by allBthere; 03-05-2010, 01:57 PM.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: TWO GLARING ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE PATCHED!!
I agree with #1. I haven't had enough time to agree on #2 yet.
I was playing a game with out of the box settings (my 2nd game with the title) and Andrew Bailey came in with a tie game in the 8th. He proceeded to pitch 6.1 INNINGS! 65 pitches.
What closer let alone any Reliever would do that in today's game??? I'll give you the occasional spot starter coming on to work 4-5 innings in a blowout."The man who is the spearhead of the Dodger offense throughout the year, who saved them in the League Championship, will not see any action tonight, for sure."
-- Vin Scully, about injured Dodger slugger Kirk Gibson during the game 1 of the '88 Series. One inning later, well, you know the rest......Comment

Re: TWO GLARING ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE PATCHED!!
on default I haven't noticed this yet.
pitch counts are high for the cpu because Im patient at the plate. teh CPU throws enough balls, and enough pitches are fouled off to keep the numbers honest.
the only time the number drops is when I start hacking at the plate. This usually happens when Im either down by a few runs or when I havent gotten a hit in 3-4 innings.
this is all human nature, not AI logic.
the 4/5 starters have been pulled on average in the 6th inning. 1-3 starters varies alot.
I play on pro and havent adjusted any sliders yet. getting good games so far. Im also playing my exhibition/preseason games now of my franchise.Comment
