If it was a spin move to the Arroyo's glove side (not an inside move to his right side), he doesn't have to come set...same as a pick to first from a righty. He can pivot and fire away.

If it was his inside move (life his left leg as if he is going to pitch and then pivoting on his right) then he does have to come set. Like a good lefty bluff move to first.

Ah, my fault. Didn't understand the rules. The pickoff itself, though, was still a major issue (it was automatic).


Another glitch. In offline human vs human mode, the batters eye is broken. I've seen fastball light up a full blue square and have it hit the dirt. The pitch types are accurate, though, as far as I know.

Didn't realize this thread was finally created. I'll leave the big ones up to you guys, I'll state the small stuff I notice:

- Not necessarily a bug or glitch, but swinging is very unresponsive. Sometimes I start my swing when the ball hasn't even reached the plate halfway, and it says that I'm still swinging very late. No, this is not a result of TV lag. I play MLB The Show with no problems, and I pitch with no problems in 2K10 as well.

- Variations of fastball pitches (cutters and two-seamers) don't use the breakpoint pitching style. The place that you place the ball cursor is the place that the ball's intended destination will be, as opposed to other pitches where that is the break point. In a sense, there is no challenge to throwing these two pitches.

- In a recent exhibition game I just played, I won the game 5 - 2 where I went nine innings with Cliff Lee and threw eight strikeouts, only giving up three hits and no walks. I also homered with Griffey, got two doubles with Bradley, etc. Who gets the Pepsi Clutch Performer of the Game? Franklin Gutierrez... 0 for 4 with two strikeouts and grounded into a double play. Oh, but he did get an RBI, I suppose that helps.

- I'll read the instruction manual on controlling slide types, but the default (just by pressing Square/X) sliding into first base is a feet-first slide. Normal suggestion is to never slide into first, but there are reasons to... but never feet first. No matter what, this shouldn't ever allow you to slide feet-first into this base (even more so than it's advised to never slide head-first into home plate).



These next two are just strange instances of commentary I noticed:

- When I pinch-hit a player and got a single with him, Steve Phillips went on about how he thought pitchers weren't supposed to hit, etc. when it was a pinch-hitter at the plate.

- If a player sacrifice bunts, the game won't register that as an official at-bat, and thus somehow the commentary doesn't recognize it as a plate appearance whatsoever. I once got a hit, hit, sac bunt, hit... and again, Steve Phillips went on about how the team has had three consecutive hits.

Odd. My swinging is very responsive.

Again, odd. Cutters and two-seamers break a LOT. SOmetimes too much when you overthrow.

Yes, the POTG is utterly screwed up in the game.I had an 0 for 4 player get POTG and the pitcher never ever ever gets POTG. Could be a glitch in the calculation.

Some of the bigger guys like fielder and ortiz will look big when batting but when they are running the bases or fielding they look skinny. If it zooms in on them they look fine.

Had a big glitch in my last game. Ryan Braun on first, Fielder at the plate. Ground ball to Ryan Theriot, for some reason he lobs the ball slowly to Fontenot, Braun is safe. Luckily Fielder is slow, and Fontenot was just able to throw him out.

BUT, on the next pitch, Ryan Braun is standing almost at third base. I can't throw it to third base, so I try to throw it to second to see if he would try and retreat. Nope he just takes two steps and is now on third. He went on to score on a wild pitch.

Edit: Also something I noticed a game or two ago. The game doesn't seem to count saves that come in extra innings.

Why did they make it so the rookies have a picture of their face outside of gameplay, but once you go into a game, they're silhouttes?

I just had a glitch where all the uniforms on the team select screen had dirt all over them. I was like WTF?

My player mode:

I'm on third base with less than two outs. Nick Johnson flies to Ichiro (playing the Mariners obv). I tag up and Ichiro throws it to third. I score easily.

How can we prove who won the bet? I'd like to add that he wasn't near the warning track. I took a shot since my teammates are terrible at driving me in. Regardless, I'll keep an eye out for it next time and save replay. Cheers.

i was in my 3rd year with my player.... won the rookie of the year... had an OK 2nd season... 3rd season i was leading the league in Homers... went to the Home run Derby... Made the All star team and after that i wanted to be traded from the nationals to the phillies... and now when i try to play it goes back to the nationals team and i cant do anything but watch them play??
