Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
Me too. I never make it through a full season but I know my stats are ALL mine.
The fatigue in this game is really done poorly though and it hurts the franchise mode. The cpu AI in how it handles its staff is bad and the fatigue bug for starters is there. The game doesn't handle DH fatigue well at all either. It treats it like any other position when it should be treated like 1/2 a day off. DHs should not get tired. Furthermore, if you pinch hit with anyone it gives them a full day's fatigue. Even if you just hit once and go back to the bench I had a guy lose 5 points off his stamina. So you are hesitant to pinch hit when resting a guy because he will get more tired. Makes no sense.
It'd be nice if they could fix it in a patch, because some of this is just head scratching.Comment

Re: How many games do you play in your *********?
I usually play about half of them. I don't have a system, it's pretty random which games I choose to simulate but it comeses out to mi playing about half, but this year I think I'm going to play them all since I've heard pitcher progression/regression is a mess.Comment

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
I have a OCD with sports games. All statistics in season mode must come from my gameplay. Always been this way ever since I was a kid. If the CPU get's any stats for my team, that frachise is "Tainted" and I could not play it anymore.
It's a sickness really, but, at least I don't have to worry about the depth of franchise mode in Basketball and Baseball games... I rarely get through year one before... A. I grow tired of the game or B. It's time to buy the next seasons version.
Repeat process...Comment

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
I'd say Im about 50/50.
As to which ones I sim and dont actually play, there's no particular rhyme or reason, lol.
Usually if my team falls a little behind I sort of "take the wheel."
I usually play most games within my own division. Games at the beginning, games near the end, when I promote a prospect, etc etc.
One thing I ALWAYS do is start the game AS IF Im going to play it so I can set up my lineup to give guys rest at times if they need it. Then I super-sim to the end. (I do this since there is no depth chart this year.)Comment

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
I usually play all my games, but yet to finish of a season of any 2K Baseball title. I played 9 2K8 games, 72 2K9 games, so hopefully this year I will get to finish a season, or I might go back to MVP again.Michigan Wolverines
NY JETS
NY Mets
NY Knicks :(

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
I play one series a day in some capacity. If I can't make all the games I sim to the 7th or 8th inning and play out the end of the game. I play 1 series every day sun through thur taking Friday and sat off. This gives me about a 10 week season and I should make it through 3 years by the time the real mllb season is over. Currently I am 51-31 with the Twins and I've played probably 50-60 full games but in my games played stat on the calender it says 82. Love this game!!Comment

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
I play all of them. I'm never able to finish, but it's fun and I don't like simming the games, I want to be the person that makes the teams stats, not the CPU. I'll make a franchise specifically for simming once in a while and do that.Comment

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
The way I found is the easiest and most complete way to finish a season and be satisfied is to play all the first two months of games, April and May. Then in June, just start playing the games that have playoff contenders and wild card implications. I did that when you could only control 4 teams, and now I'm doing it with all 30 teams. I'm usually able to finish my season about the same time the playoffs are going on in MLB.
It's the best way guys, and fun as wellGames I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.Comment

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
I'm more of a college baseball guy, where the teams play ~60 games a year.. So what I usually do is play a 52 game season and alternate playing with simming like this: First 5 games I'll play with my #1 and #2 starter, sim 3, 4, 5. Then starting game 6, I sim #1 and #2 and play 3, 4, 5 starters.. Then repeat. End up playing half the games, and it's a good pace for me.
The downside is you don't have true series until you get to the playoffs, but it doesn't bother me much.Originally Posted by Briman123

Re: How many games do you play in your Franchise?
I play with the Tigers and I usually will play 2/3 against teams from the central and then 1/3 in non-divisional games. I think this helps give a more realistic final standings, and will help show your ability to manage your roster more, but it all just boils down to personal preference.Comment

I did the 162 games once, and it took longer than the actual baseball season.
soI do the 52 games now. in 2k9 I finished 3 seasons, and I also planned on completeing about 2-3 seasons with 2k10.
I also sim th remainder of seasons, once Im out of playoff contention; which has happened alot. I havent made the playoffs in a 2k pro sportsg ame since the last generation consoles, except for ch2k8. Ive never won a title neither.
2k10 is turning out to be fun, so I may do the 104 gamesComment
