    This would help tremendously.

I think 2k messed up this solid game as well as stealing with sliders. For example, pitch speed is supposed to belong to Global Slider. How is it now? It belongs to user slide set and when you change it, com' one is also changed. How about catcher throwing? the same. I think they need to re-construct this years slider system from basic categorization for 2k11.

I have come to terms with the fact that when I play this game, there won't be any errors and user steals. If you can overlook these 2 gigantic problems (which are probably too complex to be fixed by the upcoming patch) it's a pretty good game I guess, lol.

            1) Up speed( I use 75)
            2) Get a good lead and jump
            3) Slide away from the tag

I can't even find the option to put base running on auto. If I can find it, I'll test it myself.

                Re: The art of stealing...

User stealing is kind of hit or miss but it's really odd because even a player with 99 spd getting a good jump and head first slide will still be thrown out by a catcher with a 60 rating arm.

Now CPU stealing is kind of insane because I've seen CPU players steal that have low 70's in speed while I use John Lannan as pitcher and Ivan Rodriguez as my catcher and still can't throw them out at 2nd.

Not really sure why this is.

It's mid May in my franchise and I stole my first two bases yesterday. Edinson Volquez is extremely easy to steal off of, both times the catcher didn't even throw to 2nd. Now I won't have to see how Jose Reyes hasn't stolen a base in a month in his stat overlays every time he comes to bat

User stealing is quirky but what's the deal with the Sliding animations and getting your guy to slide head first?

I will steal and sometimes I can get them to head first slide other times they either slide foot first or don't slide at all!

Then the slide animation is crazy! I got my guy with a great jump he is running full speed then slows to a crawl when he is about to slide forcing him to get thrown out. Has anyone noticed this? and how do you avoid it?

Stealing off Joba is as easy as it gets.

I'm still having trouble with the timing. When should I start holding LT? Every time I try to steal, my runner goes too early and I get caught in a rundown...

Add Jason Marquis to the list of guys that are extremely easy to steal off of. I stole six bases off him in 2 innings

This is very irritating. I lead off on 4 steps and get a good jump then totally slow down as I approach 2nd base only to get thrown out by a mile. This happens even with pitchers who have a slow delivery.
