I think a lot of the problems regarding when the CPU decides when to take out pitchers stems from fatigue always re-setting.

They did patch the game so the CPU will no longer leave a guy in for 140+ pitches. But that only sort of "half fixes" the problem.

Releivers, middle releivers will pitch 4 or 5 innings since the game 'thinks' they are fully rested.

I think once the patch comes out that fixes pitchers recovering 99 fatigue, that CPU bull-pen logic will improve.



However; as for the CPU not pinch hitting for their pitchers in obvious situations.... That is just plain messed up...

And starters need to stay fatigued AFTER GAMES as well. One to two days after a start, Josh Beckett is at 99 again.

Yeah; I noticed this too. However last year fatgiue recovery when players didnt play a game was too low, and there was zero fatigue recovery on off days due to a bug....

So all things considered it's better this year.

But I do agree, I pitched a game with John Lackey that brought him down to 18% fatigue.

2 days later... 99%....

(I wonder if this is caused by pitchers recovering fatigue during the game... IE Im hoping this issue will go away from the fact that they have found a fix for guys randomly recovering fatigue...)

I still have not started a "serious" Franchise or MyPlayer yet. Im waiting for the next patch.

For now I've just been messing around on-line and in 'play ball' mode beating the roomate. (He's a Mets fan, we get pretty intense sometimes. As a Red Sox fan I dont living with him though... Since he's at least not a Yankee's fan )

I have not noticed this too much in preseason. I will not start my actual season untill the patch though.

Just had this happen while I was playing the Reds. I was up 2-1 in the bottom of the 9th and the CPU had a runner in scoring position with 2 outs and instead of subbing in a pinch hitter they left Arthur Rhodes in the game to bat. Stupid AI, if that isn't a pinch hit situation I don't know what is.

Maybe there is an "Arthur Rhodes bug" because I had the same thing hapen to me today. To make it even worse, the cpu pinch hit for the batter before him and then let Rhodes bat
