Ron2K just posted pitchers randomly recovering fatigue will be fixed.

    Great news from Ron2K.

He just posted over at 2K forums that the Dev team has fixed the bug that was causing pitchers to randomly recover fatigue, and jump back up to 99 energy for no apparent reason.

He said it will be fixed by next patch.

    Woohoo.

This is great news. I'm looking forward to the upcoming patch, and I'm glad 2K is really on the ball this year.

No offense but Ron said "should be fixed" not will be fixed.

Well, he said they "figured out the issue", so it seems pretty obvious that it's going to be fixed.

This is good news, to some extent.

However, I beleive that the stamina bug isn't tied into starters and relievers pitching way too long. This bug has been prevalent for the last few 2k installments.

The problem is broken AI management and a broken sim engine. For example, middle relievers will throw 4-5 inning sand get 1-2 at-bats before they are subbed out. This has been a problem since 2k8.

'broken ai management' is a concern as well.
lets hope the 'pitcher fatigue' patch up will get things playing much better.

Also, AI management will not sub out a pitcher UNLESS they are getting absolutely shelled OR they are completely fatigued. There is no situational CPU decisions or middle ground.

Thus, middle relievers are pitching insane amount of innings, ERAs are sky rocketed and pinch hitters are not being used.

Yep. I would love to know the...."logic" behind CPU pitching changes. This is just broken. Add this to the fact the CPU base running is a joke, there are no errors and I wonder why in the hell people have been whining that there are no check swings in the game.

please tell me this isn't so. I didn't keep 2k8 long enough to notice it, and with 2k9 I was focused on the "aggressive hitter" bug. Now i'm being forced to pray the 2nd patch will fix this....

Just had this happen while I was playing the Reds. I was up 2-1 in the bottom of the 9th and the CPU had a runner in scoring position with 2 outs and instead of subbing in a pinch hitter they left Arthur Rhodes in the game to bat. Stupid AI, if that isn't a pinch hit situation I don't know what is.

I've seen this happen a lot -- in regular games, in My Player, too -- obvious PH situations or SAC situations and the pitcher is up there swinging away. Really cheeses me when it does this!

There is a workaround when you're playing. Go to options menu and switch controllers. That way, you can sub in and out whoever you'd like, then switch back to your user-controlled team.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.

By the way, Super Sim is POINTLESS because you have ZERO control over anything the sim engine produces.
