I like 2k10's pitching and I like 2k10's hitting and feilding too(once tweaked).

the show has great lighting and very solid year after year feel.

If you have not played the show in say 2 years RUN to buy it...

If you played 2k9? really try to give 2k10 a try.And if you liked 2k7? it's a no brainer

I bought both. I figured that the show would be a great game and it is. But I was pleasantly surprised at how good 2k10 is this year...it is not great yet.. but heading in the right direction. I play both the show and 2k10 equally.

Re: Anyone own both 2k10 and the show?

I have both but first year with the Show so I have been playing it a ton...there are a few things with 2k that continue to drive me nuts:

        1) CPU swings at almost every pitch that is over the plate

        2) Breaking pitches look "loopy" (reminds me of a frisbee)

        3) Rocket arms

I must say though I LOVE the content within the commentary and the stats they provide...I will agree 2k is better than the past couple of years but no matter how hard I try to like it I can't stick with it...

SCEA also seems VERY committed to the Show and is constantly wanting feedback...it took 2k 5 months to put out a PC patch for NBA 2k10...I know the consoles make them more money but 5 months? C'mon...at least I bought MLB 2k10 for the PC not expecting a patch...it's better to think that way...

I own both and love both for different reasons.

I find myself playing 2K10 My Player a lot as it is quick to play multiple games (no ridiculous load times), and you advance pretty quickly. No offense to RTTS, but it takes forever to advance in that mode, and with a wife, a house, and a 8-5 job, I just don't have the time to invest. I am also playing a lot of 2K10's MLB Today mode for the amazing presentation aspects, stats, and atmosphere. The only thing I really despise about 2K10 is the fielding, but I am able to look past it because the game is fun.

Where I play a lot of MLB10 is in dynasty mode, and also various exhibition games. I love seeing the small details and graphical presentation that MLB10 brings to the table. There are so many small nuances to the game that I will sit and watch replays for what seems like hours because of all the little stuff going on.

Both games are great this year, and if you are a true fan of baseball and gaming they can definitely co-exist.

I am really leaning toward getting it mainly for the fun of the game play but..........has there been any word on whether there will be another patch.<o></o><o></o>

I'm mostly concerned with the problems with franchise and the issues with pitcher stamina. (not to mention the A.I. not taking pitchers out)<o></o>

They have confirmed a second patch for the 360 (first one for the PS3). It's not ready yet but they hope to have it out in mid to late April.

I own both on different systems, but really only play the Show since it's franchise mode is far superior. I'm actually kind of thinking about selling 2K10, it's a good game but having it and the Show is kind of redundant.

I have both and I really haven't played 2K at all. Although I've played 2K each of the past three seasons and never bought The Show, so I'm something of a unique case: The Show is "new" to me, 2K isn't.

The first patch addressed the stamina issue from what I've seen. Using the Holy Grail sliders the cpu usually brings in a reliever in the 7th inning or so unless I force them out sooner.

I have played The Show the last couple of years but I can't seem to put 2K10 down right now. This is a very fun game to play, and the commentary is outstanding.

I want to by MLB 2k10, just for the commentary alone, but I'm not sure it'd be worth the purchase considering how much time I invest in the Show. It's flat out a great game.

Everyone is different but I have both and although the commentary is better it's not like there is an infinite number of things the announcers say...it starts repeating soon enough...there are just too many other problems/inaccuracies with 2k to play for long imho...

                            'had' both.
                            now have 2k8 and 2k10.

2k wins this year for me.

Have both and enjoying 2k10. The show just gets real boring with the one button gameplay, whereas 2k10 you actually feel like your doing something. If you could put 2k10's pitching and hitting with the show, I think that would make the perfect game of baseball.

Hey so is the stamina issue with the pitchers still on the PS3 version since they haven't released the patch? I'm thinking about buying it just to try it out, but not if the starters throw 150 pitches every game.
