Uh, stop pulling back on the stick when you swing? I'm not sure how one can accidentally do a check swing.

Yeah, it just happens sometimes when I TRY TO SWING....I've seen it happen to my opponents as well. (I'm ranked in the top 100, I'm actually pretty good btw.)

According to SleepyTercel (2K forums) the check swing feature IS available for those using Classic Hitting. Apparently you hit the A Button quickly after hitting it to swing.

I have not had time to play any games yet, but he's got a stickied thread in which he provides this (brief) bit of information...

I actually was gonna try this, but I was too frustrated to. I'll check it out later and see if it's actually worth it (like I can actually check my swing in time).

IT WORKS!! I actually pulled this off once. it takes a while to get the muscle-memory thing down but I about fell over when I pulled it off...

one suggestion: when you press down the second time to pull it off, press down HARD...for some reason, tapping didn't seem to work (at least that was my experience).

i can confirm it works too...i just did it!!! the cpu appealed and the ump gave the safe sign....man if it had injuries and errors, that would make my day!
