Nice pc. I'm sure you saved some money building it yourself. Spent $1,700 on mine all in. If I had a little more time on my hands I probably would have built mine myself and saved some money.

I'm sure it is a beast though.

I had the gpu from my old comp so spending the 800 or so didnt feel too bad.

now cant wait to get my hands on 2k11, hoping the gameplay vid tomorrow is legit.

Last year the PC version of 2k10 was only $3 on Opening Day of baseball season via direct download from Gamestop. I'm probably going to wait and see if they have a similar deal this year.

Please know this and understand. If you buy the PC version, chances are you will probably not get the first patch until July or August.

            ^^^^Know and understand this above^^^^

I have accepted this, and do not feel the need to blow up on message boards because the PC version did not get patched as the same time as the console version.
Yep....this is one aspect of the PC version that cannot be ignored. First time PC game buyers are likely to be disappointed when they buy the game at half the console price and then expect the same level of patch commitment as the console version.

I don't like it (and have expressed my disapproval with the NBA 2k PC version - it's pretty much the same situation as this) , but as Bob said it's been played out, and we all know what's going to happen. At that time it's best to remember that you got the game for $30 instead of $60.

My specs for anyone curious - my PC killed NBA2K11 and I'm pretty sure it'll have no trouble running MLB either:

            Intel Corei7 860 @ 2.8 Ghz
            8 GB RAM
            Windows 7 Home Premium
            ATI Radeon 5770

Shamrock, I'm assuming you're an avid PC gamer? Your rig is overkill for 2K11. I doubt it, but if 2K11 didn't pan out, you can play any other game you can imagine. Keep the support alive

Wonder if it will work with Windows 7 since only Vista/XP are listed on the box?

Yes, I am an avid pc gamer. I grew up playing sports games on consoles and I still have a 360, but now that I have a great gaming pc I'm getting away from consoles. I love all the mods too much now, hard to be confined on a console. The patch situation sucks but not enough to get me to buy the console version.

Ugh, my laptop is also 14". This will be touch and go with this game. If it doesn't work well enough, no baseball for me this year.

It definitely will. All new games work for Windows 7.

Do you have a link for that driver?

Why do people use the 360 kind of controller? I could prob score a 360 controller cheap. Is that easier to use?

The 360 controller is insanely easy to use on PC if you have a wired one. You just plug it in to a USB port and it's ready to go. Also, I prefer the triggers on the 360 controller.

I'll go that route then, thanks.

I also read you need the PS3 off to use it on your pc, and that won't work if wifey is on netflix.

It surely will. If it says Vista, 99% chance it will run fine on 7. The legacy in 7 is phenomenal if there is a rare chance it was not made with it in mind. But chances are it was.

Well.......it doesn't have a link on STEAM, but the day it does I'm buying it. I put in over 70 hours of MLB 2k10. 2k11 should be the same.
