Honestly the frequency I'm not as bothered by. But you're telling me three pitchers break a bone while throwing a pitch? Is that even possible?

Wouldn't bug me if it said strained elbow or something. Or if they were overworked by me and fatigued. Oh wait, that doesn't work.

My Jays got out of the gate quickly. I went 5-1 on the season's opening home stand. I can't score, or recognize pitches, but I don't give up any runs. I am going to turn the difficulty up now. I am having a fun time.

Started a Mets franchise. 1-1. Lost 12-2 after Johan left in the 4th inning(fine though he'll start next time) the bullpen gave it up. 2nd game I won 6-1 behind 8.2 great inning from Pelf, but he got injuried with 2 outs in the 9th and will be out 2-4 months
            I drew 6 walks in a 4 run 7th inning.

I've turned my injuries down to 33. I don't mind injuries but they do get a little ridiculous if you get a major pitcher injury every outing. I have 7 injured pitchers at the moment (3 60+ day DL stints) in my Cubs franchise. It bothers me that the pitcher injuries seem to occur "randomly" in the 5th inning. The CPU pitcher injuries seem to occur "randomly" in the 2nd. Not sure if everyone else has this same consistency. When I started to dread making a start I figured it was time to turn down injuries.

They should be in the manage roster screen. If it is the same problem that I had, then you they don't show up in the lineup/rotation screens but they are tradeable. The other fix is to have the CPU optimize your lineup. Unless they are on a rehab assignment, they will show up once you let the CPU auto-adjust your lineup/rotation.

Started a tigers franchise and am currently 0-2

First game vs. the Yankees, I was up 6-3 headed into the 9th. Brought Valverde in to close things out, and with 2 outs Worth bobbled an easy grounder to 2nd to allowing the tie run in. Ended up losing in the 10th on a Granderson walk off. This one stung

                  Second game-

Pitching was the story in this game. Couldn't get to Hughes, but Scherzer held his own on my end. 0-0 game headed in to the top of the 9th, where I score 2 runs. Bottom of the 9th up 2-0 I again bring in Valverde to close things out and 3 runs later the game is over with another Tigers loss.

Angry and fed up I've had to stop playing my franchise. I've played every game and I'm 19 games into the season and I've got 8!!! of my pitchers injured, 3 starters and 5 bullpen, all but one are DL 60+. Because of this I'm on a 5 game losing streak because I am pitching with AAA hacks.

This on top of the franchise bug has really let me down big time, I was loving the MLB today stuff that was going on, it was so immersive but I can't take anymore. I will be waiting for a major patch to this mode before restarting.

Why not just lower the injury frequency slider?

All this complaining is a little over board seeing as how you can customize the injuries to your liking via the slider provided.

                        Anyways...

Hopefully this game is sitting in my mailbox today. Was to be delivered between the 14th-16th.

That could happen in real life, it would be rare, but it could happen. First, lower the injury slider by about half. Then I would do a fire sale with your best players in their contract years and build your farm system/draft picks. Sim the rest of the year checking in periodically on the progress. Then the following year you can either A) take your picks and prospects and develop from within, or B) turn around and trade those prospects for better players to develop a juggernaut.

                          And now you're making lemonade

A couple notes on the injury slider. In 8 games I have had 3 injuries. I think all my starters but Romero and Drabek have been hurt.

Only one has missed a start. I am beginning to think it's how I handle my pitchers that affect my injuries and not the game. It's April, I try to throw every pitch at max effort. If I'm up 0-2 I should not be painting the corner with a 95 mph fastball on pitch 60 I guess.

I dunno, but I am going to try to do a better job taking care of my pitchers.

Drabek, a 5-star potential, pitches next for me on the road, on a new difficulty level. He is going to be on a pitch count. I'm thinking 65.

So I played my first game tonight.

Started a one team franchise with the Buccos just to get a feel for the game. Simmed to the current day of spring training, and will use the remaining spring training games to get my sliders right.

The game I played was the Blue Jays vs Pirates March 16th game.

James McDonald started pitched 4 innings, and left with a strained groin. Started with injury slider at 40, bumped it down to 28 now.

I was held hitless through 5 innings by Brett Cecil; Garrett Jones got a single up the middle with one away in the 6th. Really came alive in the 7th, and would take a 2-1 lead on a McCutcheon double and Alvarez single; Jose Bautista got the Jays on the board with a solo HR.

Evan Meek and Joe Biemel closed the door in the 8th, and with no insurance runs it was up to Joel Hanrahan to get the SV with a slim 2-1 lead...he could not. Hanrahan walked 3 and surrendered 3 hits and the Jays scored 3 runs in the top 9th to steal the victory.

Good first game....unlocked 3 achievements too.
