i've lived in dallas 11 years and suffered with the Rangers the whole time, so no way i pass up on playing with them now.

i can't wait to put Michael Young at DH and leave him there...no trade for you my friend!

Not that I will get very far anyway, but I will start up one with the Cardinals in the NL and Rangers in the AL. I'm a die-hard Cards fan, but in my keeper fantasy league I've been in for the last eight years, I've had a lot of Rangers players over the years, and really have come to really like the team.

I'm still bummed Blalock never panned out. But I've really been impressed with how they built their team back up after the Arod disaster.

But I doubt I get more than 20 games into either season.

Going to start as the Reds and see if I can get them to the series
Teams got a lot of talent and I will see if Cueto/Volques/Chapman can develop.

I'm with you. It's going to be an exciting year in the NL Central. Lot of talent all around. Gonna be odd to not have to try to build the Reds franchise up from the ashes though.

            Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

This is a tough one. Last season I just started a cubs franchise and never looked back because I had a blast. Before I got the game I wanted to do one with the Reds and Cubs (my two favorite teams), but that didn't happen because I got wrapped up in the cubs one. I figure this year, I'll attempt both (in seperate franchises), but end up just going on with one of them, whichever I come to enjoy the most. Especially since I definitely have the time and will to play multiple seasons with one team, but if I try to do two franchises I'll probably only get half as far.

I'm also contemplating doing both, and finishing the year in both, but only moving onto year 2 with one of them. Really just depends on how much I enjoy them.

Like JBH, I have a list of players I'd like to get at some point. It's just a list of players that I like though

I'm almost surely going to trade for Mark DeRosa, maybe bring him back to Chicago and let him be the everyday second baseman. Or I could possibly target him in my reds franchise as a Left Fielder. But I am such a big fan of his, that I'll get him in one of them.

And I'm going to pretend that Mark Prior did not sign a minor league deal with the Yankees, but he signed one with the Cubs. He was my favorite player, and I almost always sign him even if I never end up bringing him up (I make sure not to overrate him just because he's my favorite player).

I had this problem too so what I started doing was I would play 2 out of 3 game series against other AL Central Teams and then would play 1 game in every other series against non AL Central opponents and that helped make it move.

I missed out on a mlb game past 2 years. Looks legit this year, gonna get the game this year and run a franchise with my Mets!! Not gonna make a ton of moves to start. Cutting Ollie and Castillo, and maybe a veteran sp off fa

I'm going to run with my Marlins(Marlins fans do exist!!!) and try to make a run with what should be their most competitive team in a long time. Need to rebuild the farm system after pushing Logan Morrison and Mike Stanton and Matt Dominguez through.

Gonna start one with the royals and the rangers. Here are my plans for both.

Royals- develop the young talent. Motto is low and slow. Low and slow both meaning not to promote them that fast. Mous is probably going to be the only prospect to make it to the majors the first year and even then he will probably be a september call up pending injury.

Rangers- Im hoping to get brandon webb back to when he won the cy young. Also going to put Michael Young on the trading block but probably not going to trade him. My expectations for year one is a playoff berth and maybe a deep run into the playoffs.

Also might start one with a national league team, im thinking of the rockies, mets or cardinals.

Man you read my mind! I was JUST thinking about the new look royals and wating to start a dynasty with them...them or I kinda am feeling the brewers. I actually hop alex gordon bounces back and wins comeback player of the year and does well in LF this year.

Ya i heard alex restructured his swing with kevin switzer so iam excited to see what he will do. Also pumped for lorenzo cain according to pasta padre he is 78 ovr. Cant wait. Ever since the royals traded beltran i have had a on off relationship with the royals but now iam ready to go back to them and lead them to the promise land.

Going with my Yankees as I have since 2K7. In fact the only Franchise I didn't complete an entire 162 game season of was 2K9. Looking forward to 2K11!

Basically what I'm going to do. Gonna do my best not to screw up all the good work AA has done in the last two years lol.

I figure, just like in real life, my Jays will be ready for contention in 2012. You never know though, cuz if J-Bau can produce HALF of what he did last year, Lind and Hill can get closer to their production of 2009 and the super young starters can continue to develop like they did in 2010, might surprise some teams in 2011.

Would prefer to KEEP Rivera, but may explore a trade at the deadline if a team is offering someone who is close to major league ready at 1B. And if all else fails, I'll make my pitch for Albert Pujols in the off-season :P
