Anyway, back on topic:

The game is still fun to play. I've played about 3 games in a 2 hour span. That's good and I like the fact the games go by quickly. I just wish that stupid hr/out glitch gets fixed. I've had it happen 3 times already.

Got it after work on PC, about to try to upload some images too 2kshare...seems like 2k servers keep going down.

I like how they added the 360 controller icons, just off recognition. The graphics are a tad better, controls are great, outfield is smooth baby! Loving it!

Batting is much more responsive with the swing stick and more accurate. I'm struggling on the pitching though, seems very tight and sometimes inaccurate!

Just play Yankees, Red Sox game...and no one scored in 4 innings... About to go back and play a MLB Today game for my Youtube videos....I like how at the top of the MLB Today game, it says Grapefruit for today....lol...

Loving the game so far!

Just trying to help you out. Calling out mods in any way isn't cool.


Another thing that I'm enjoying is the way the cpu will pitch away from you if it feels like it's in danger. I like that. Peavy was pitching all breaking balls away to Cano after he belted one earlier.

I know what you are saying. I played a game earlier today against my cousin and we both realized it.

I was really impressed with the commentary as I haven't played this game since 2k7. I will most likely pick this up tomorrow before work.

ok I just picked up the game, go into play now, and I must say I'm a bit miffed as to why Phil Hughes has a slider where he should have a changeup. I'm only in the first inning, but I'm also annoyed by the fact that my catcher has called for 4 two seemers, which he threw 3% of the time last year and only 1 four seemer which he threw over 50% of the time last year.

Stuff like that annoys me, especially the fact that there is no reason for Hughes not to have his changeup (which was all the news entering last season, how he had been working on that pitch pretty much the entire time during spring training)

This is why they put this thread up. They can adjust all that stuff.

Is it just me or can you not slide/dive when you are coming in on a shallow flyball??? There seem to be a lot of balls falling in front of me I think I could get to!

I really dig the fact that they finally put in options for the fielding cam this year.

I've only been able to play a couple games so far, but I haven't really noticed any frame rate issues.

The graphics certainly arent perfect, but it's definitely a fun game and I love the fact that pitching is now more of a challenge. The pitching accuracy slider was a much needed addition.

Not only have I seen the AI make a throwing error I've seen them throw it in to center trying to catch a runner stealing. Very nice! Really liking the new fielding animations but some animations (not just fielding) are too fast.

Picked it up a few hours ago for pc

-I had a stick of ram die on me recently so i cant max out the visuals but overall it still looks good. A tiny bit of choppiness at points but i'll live.

-Fielding definitely feels way better than last year. very smooth
-Batting is better also, seeing hits sprayed all over the field instead of everything being opposite field.

-One of the negatives is im seeing waaaaay to many line drives to infielders as others have mentioned, maybe can be tweaked with sliders...funny part was, it really only seemed to happen early in the game, after about the 6th inning in the game i played i started seeing a lot more ground balls. Strange.

-The AI seems to be a little smarter also, pitchers will start throwing away from guys if you get to them. Cant really speak on manager AI as ive only played the one game and they seemed to make subs at the right time. We'll see though.

-One really cool thing i noticed was, there was a pop up in foul territory drifting towards third. I went after it with the cather and Pedro Alvarez came in and called me and the pitcher off and made the play without me controlling him. Definitely a nice touch to me.

-Another negative was the wonky swing animations are still present, not anything thats gonna make me stop playing the game, but hopefully they fix that next year.

All in all i really dig the game so far, im not really one to harp on minor bugs, or gripe about a guys face not being 100% accurate, i grew up during the NES days so im just happy if the guy has a face at all lol. But seriously i think they have done a pretty good job with this years game, enough to make me not be pressed about buying the other game, and as alway a big hats off to 2k sports for supporting the pc market

Ill be back with more impressions after i play around with franchise mode some.

Man, I feel like I am playing a different game than other people. I played the living hell out of 2k10 on the 360 and PC, and have always championed this series.

This year though, I am really struggling to find much enjoyment in this title at all. Now granted, I have not touched a single slider, and have played only 4 games on default All Star....so I am not ready to throw the towel in yet.

There are just so many things that I see, that have really killed the fun for me. While the fielding is better I guess, it feels really clunky to me this year. The base running is atrocious, and some of the overall animations I just can't believe are that bad. If I have to see one more guy sprint awkwardly, like a cat who is lost and confused, after he makes a play....well, let's just say I can't laugh anymore than I already have.

The Stadiums are absolutely awesome looking, but I never realized there were so many burn victims playing in the MLB. I have the PC edition also, but according to Shadows, its just a slight upgrade in graphics.

This is not an indictment on anyone who is having a blast with the title, as I am happy for you who are. I just feel like I bought a $60 coaster. Hopefully with some more time, and maybe some slider tweaks I can find the fun that I had with this title last year.

Broke down and bought the PAL version. Been playing all day:

Too many bugs. Not only do home runs at the track get called outs, but sometimes on balls just hit off the wall.

The pitcher not coming over to make an out.

stealing is way too easy, even on Legend.

weird bag errors, I'll throw to first and Votto will just keep trying to tag the bag like it was 2K9, without getting the out.

Too many HR and too many robbed ones. Ive had 6HR robbed already, all did the out glitch.

Other little glitches and hiccups, frame rate etc.

The animations are wonky.

I dot care about graphics but some of the stuff in the game is just plain ugly.



The commentary good though
