Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
Agreed that one opinion is a super small minority, but I'm more interested in franchise play than anything else (which I should have clarified). I'd hate to drop $60 and find a fairly buggy game since I'm not the richest guy in the world, but the only true 'deal breakers' for me are serious things - game freezes, stat messups, trade flaws, etc. Stuff like glove warping would annoy me but that isn't a dealbreaker.Comment

Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
Last years game in franchise mode, if you edited a "fake" player on a minor league team (like change the name, rating etc.) and then called him up to the major league roster, the players ratings all reset and their appearance was a default bald headed player.
Can someone confirm if this is still present in 2k11? I like to edit minor league players and give them correct names, but if this bug is still there is defeats the purpose.
Does anyone remember this problem from last year? Thanks!Comment

Especially if the respected sports video game advocate is one who has a history of pointedly not recommending 2kxx as loudly and often as possible.Comment

No clue what his track record is for the MLB 2k series, but you can probably figure out who it is without me naming names. My guess is he's a dad and enjoys spaghetti and rigatoni.Comment

That would be the one. Best idea is to watch the bug/glitch thread to see if anything reported there is enough of a negative for the way YOU play to keep you from buying.Comment

Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
I agree with this big time. I'm a Royals fan and our minor league system is STACKED. Yet we only have one guy in the entire farm system with a potential rating of 5 stars. I understand why they don't have real guys in there, but at least fake it. So, I'll either have to edit a bunch of people or just wait until they get called up. I just want to play a freaking franchise mode where I don't have to do a bunch of editing, or worry about the CPU doing stupid stuff. Luckily they have My Player mode, which I love. I'll stick with that until Moustakas and possibly Hosmer get the call and get added to the roster."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Official MLB 2K11 - Q&A Thread
HK, how deep is franchise mode? I played with my cousin earlier, but it was his game and we just played an exhibition game so I didn't get to look at franchise. Is there more than just 40-man rosters? (such as waivers, options, etc.), Futures game? Thanks a bunch. I was going to get the game earlier, but will probably wait for a patch.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Hey BA2929, if you ever do edit any of the Royals minor league systems will you be uploading your roster. I would love to be able to use it as I feel the same way you do. As a Royals fan the upcoming talent is all we've got to hold onto (and a beautiful ballpark). Anyways, I know this is lazy, so I understand if you say "do it yourself".Comment
