Yes. The MLB Today game(s) you see on the Main menu are the ones that use the Living Rosters. Those follow the real MLB real schedule and all commentary, stats, etc.. are pulled from the actual MLB season. You can play any or all of these games on a given day should choose too.

In Franchise/Season modes, the MLB Today stuff is part of the Presentation and uses the data from what is going on in your Franchise.

What is better to use for the pitching control options, pinpoint or breakpoint? I am playing on All-Star and my pitches are all over
the place. What option would give me the best control and accuracy.

I think Classic pitching with pinpoint provides the easiest approach to pitching.

Just an FYI: You have to get the Inside Edge it makes all the difference in the world when pitching and hitting ( tendencies ect. ) with all the great stats information on each player it really helps alot !!!!

Ok, since I'm not seeing a lot about frequency of bugs in the bug thread, thought I'd try here. Of the various bugs (HR glitch, graphical glitches/doubling of players, and freezing especially), how often are you seeing these bugs? Are they common/frequently seen, or are they rare and just bizarre? I'm worried about the bugs more than anything else, but if they don't occur that often then I am more willing to give this game a shot.

Thankfully, after about 10 games, I've seen none of the bugs reported *knock on wood*

In the demo it was right and left on the D-pad so i suppose it's the same.

I've played a few games on the All-Star setting and have hit for a solid average and several extra base hits (1Bs, 2Bs, and 3Bs), but I cannot seem to hit any home runs. I am using the analog controls and have been consistently using the power swing, but I don't think I've hit the ball further than 360ft. I even tried increasing the "power" within user settings, but all I do is hit more extra base hits and can't hit the ball farther. Is there something I should be doing with the Left Analog Stick to increase my HR chances? When I try to hold it up, I usually pop out. Any advice?

A long shot that I'll actually get answers on these, but I'll ask anyways...

A few questions about editing players, with the possibility of classic rosters in mind:

1. Is there a limit to the amount of players you can edit? I assume you can't edit current players, but I'm talking about CAPs and generic minor league players.

2. Are there any bugs that occur when you edit players? I thought I read that last year's game had a bug that reset a player's appearance when you called them up from the minors.

3. Is there a player DNA feature on 2K Share where you can upload and download individual players, like they have for NBA 2K11?

Got the game... So I can answer my own questions to a certain extent...

There is indeed a player DNA feature on 2K Share, though I'm not sure what the limit is on players you can create. I know for NBA 2K11 it is 150, and my guess is it's the same.

You can edit minor leaguers, but not quite like you can with CAPs. Some things are grayed out like batting L/R and position, and you can't edit facial features or skin tones, so you have to search for a player similar to the one you want to make.

I also don't know if there is a limit on the minor leaguers you can edit. I guess there was last year but they increased the limit with one of the patches.

If you're playing in a franchise, you have to actually BUY Inside Edge for each team to use it in the game. I think it's in either the GM area on the main screen, but I can't remember exactly off the top of my head.
