Unfortunately I agree it's a dealbreaker. Next year I should probably hold off and see what kinds of bugs pop up before buying it, as this is my main mode of play. I suppose My Player can tide me over for the time being.

I assume the bug is easy to fix, but I personally won't expect a patch until opening day, if I remember last year's patch schedule correctly. 2K only has so many patches they can use. Hope I'm wrong though :-(

It turns out that this is not just cosmetic. It is triggered by playing the game. If you sim the game, all fatigue works perfectly. But if you play the game, it seems to reset energy at the end of any player that plays. It does this for both teams, not just yours.

If you sim to a date, and a guy has an energy rating of 59, if he plays, it will be 100% for the next game. If not, he recovers a normal portion. It's part of why it is hard to figure out whether it is happening or not.

How many games did you play to test this on?

I think the real test is to test closers and have them pitch 2 innings every night and see if the fatigue is reset.

I would think position players need a day off here and there. Prince Fielder does not want to come out of the lineup IRL. Catchers need rest every 10 games or so.

Just seeing if yours was a small sample size of games you played.

      Thanks.

However, I can apparently use the same starter every game. He'll get fatigued within the game, but will be fresh as a daisy come the next morning. Same deal with relief pitchers and every hitter.
Exactly. But I should not that the fatigue effect is perfectly implemented in that if a started goes nine, he will take longer to recover than if he goes 4 innings. As you say, over four days he will regain his energy back to 100%.

It's a bug that should have been caught, but I think will be easy to patch. The question is how long 2K will wait, since they are limited on how many patches they can do.

By the way, when I simmed out a season, not only did the Pirates finish lat, but the simmed league leaders were all extreme realistic. The number HR's, RBI's, Wins, Saves, and SB's all looked right in both who was doing it and the number they achieved. ERA and AVG was also spot on.

I can't speak for him but I wanted to let you know my experiences. I could theoretically pitch Justin Verlander for all 162 games, from what this glitch appears to do. Since games take 30-45mins to complete, I admit my sample size is small, but @ game 5 every Tiger player is at 100% stamina.

Assuming the game uses some kind of hidden metric to make players grind during a season (fresh in April and exhausted by October) is a nice thought but a long shot. Clearly a starting pitcher should not be able to accomplish back to back starts. Every reliever should not be available every game, even towards the start of the season.

That's great news that almost hurts to hear right now :-) The game is seriously fun and they've done so much right that I want to play it. But this bug kills my play style. I too hope for a patch more sooner than later, but assuming other bugs will pop up, 2K only has so many patches they can use.

Any documentation as to what the patch they have added did? Just curious.

Not a lot of games. But the effect is dramatic. Jefferies for KC was down to an energy of just 2 in a game vs. the Angels in which I played some and simmed some. Next game, he was at 100%, as was Santana, who pitched for the Angels. Haren, who pitched for the Angels in the previous game had a a real low energy number, and was 59% in the next game. He recovered, but not nearly what Jefferies, or Santana, who pitched that game as well. So Santana was ready to go again, while Haren was still fatigued.

So Haren was starts game one at 100%.
Next game Santana pitches, and Haren is on bench with like 24% energy.
Next game, Santana is on the bench with 100% energy, but Haren has recovered to just 59%. Santana went eight innings the night before. But Haren's game was only simmed.

The same effect is seen on fielders, it just isn't as dramatic for obvious reasons.

Have you tried pitching with say Haren in a game then come back with him in the next start and see if his 100% fatigue drops very fast. I'm wondering if possibly fatigue could be working but just not showing in the numbers.

Re: Is the HR/Out bug fixed?

I too can confirm that the HR/Out glitch is STILL in the game post patch.

Was playing Pirates/Indians, 2 outs with a runner on, Alvarez hit one dead center, their CF seemed to have robbed the HR but I get credit for a 2-run shot and the inning is over.

Gees, glad I didnt pick it up yet. I think I'll wait a bit....two fold purpose. One, wait for a patch and two, this thing should hit the bargin bins in no time.

You have to pull back on the swing stick after you push it forward to swing. It's tough to do, but it's in the game.

Yep. User and CPU Check-swings are in this year.

Sorry, I meant classic batting check swings. I use analog pitching, but classic batting. Still, check swinging shouldnt be hard to do.

How would there be a reasonable way to check swing when using a button?
