Topic: Bald Pitchers
I find that many pitchers (especially rookies like Kyle Drabek) but also other (Jessie Litsch, for example), show up with no hair or facial hair in-game, when their "edit player" character models do, in fact, have hair. It's just a really annoying bug

Playing using the Atlanta Braves against the New York Mets in MLB Today. Wright hits the ball hard close to the right field wall in Citi Field Stadium, Heyward catches the ball barehanded, then the ball is transfered to the glove, then back to the hand while rolling in the wall and is called an against the wall hit. I was able to see this only in replay, as I wanted to know why it wasn't called an out.

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
So I decided to rest basically all of my starters for a game. I changed the lineup during the game load by pressing 'start'. In the 7th inning, I decided to pinch hit and I looked to my bench... and there were only pitchers. The original starters didn't appear any longer as if I somehow used them already, but I'm positive that I did NOT. I'm in franchise. I'll finish the current game tomorrow and see if the bug renders itself in the next game.
Also, I noticed that in 2 different games the AI put Tim Lincecum at SS while the Giants had an SS on the bench. Weird.Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
I haven't tried, but according to one of Jayhawker's earlier posts, he did a game where he played some and then simmed some. The pitcher he PLAYED went back to 100% energy post game, while the pitchers that came in after he started simming had fatigue loss after the game. So although your example is a good thought, APPARENTLY anyone used in the first 8 2/3 innings you described will be back to full health.
One last chance, (a real long shot)... Is it possible the toggle switch when you start a franchise (for stamina) is simply labeled wrong? Probably not, since CPU is otherwise showing fatigue... But if anyone wants to check, it might be worth a shot.Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
I need someone to help me confirm this, but in franchise, the CPU seems to bring pitchers in for position players, usually like first base or the outfield. They only stay in for about an inning though.Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
There is a bug with regard to the Power Rankings screen in franchise mode. The screen shows you the rankings of the teams and a parenthesis around last weeks rating.
However, the last weeks rating is always the same as the current rating...
Example:
Rank (Last Weeks Rank)
1. Cardinals (1)
2. Braves (2)
3. Redsox (3)
A week later you might see this:
Rank (Last Weeks Rank)
1. Braves (1)
2. Redsox (2)
3. Cardinals (3)
When it should say:
Rank (Last Weeks Rank)
1. Braves (2)
2. Redsox (3)
3. Cardinals (1)Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
In my post on the previous page, I mentioned this same thing happening to me. I'm only 4 games into my franchise, but I have noticed it twice, specifically with Lincecum playing SS.Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
While funny, yeah, that's a huge problem. For you, did Lincecum come off the bench to play SS, or did he switch there?Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Both times, off the bench. He started game 1 and played SS for an inning or two in games 3 and 4 of the series.Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Saw two bugs in my first game. Late in the game I had a pitcher pinch hit for a reliever, then the next inning I couldn't sub pitchers until the one I brought in to PH faced at least one batter. This should only be the case when I change pitchers on the defense, not on offense.
Then I got an out and switched pitchers, when I brought up the inside edge info I had a section of it cut off by the message that popped up previously. This pisses me off because this was in 2K10.
BTW, the screenshot is from 2K10, didn't take one last night, but it was the same issue.Attached FilesComment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Im sure it has been brought up here but there's A LOT of lag before swinging the bat during an online match.Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
Apparently you didn't play 2k10 online. This game's online is much much smoother. There is still latency, but it is definitely manageable this year.Comment

Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread
As I have posted in another thread, many pitchers who are either rookies or aren't one of the top guys show up bald and with the same, generic face when seen in a game. Although their player models are unique when you go to edit them, they each have the same exact face in game. Playing as the jays, I have seen kyle drabek, rzepcynski, litsch, roenicke, and chad cordero all show up exactly the same. AnnoyingComment
