My pitcher got hurt and decided he didn't want to leave the playing field. Extra batters appeared as well... more the merrier?

Don't go looking for bugs/glitches. Just play the game and if something happens completely out of the norm (like the above picture where the fielder is imitating Dikembe Mutombo), or the game freezes at a spot, then come here to explain it. I honestly haven't seen many of the glitches/bugs people refer to because I don't look for them or they don't happen to me. Some like to spend the first 2-3 weeks of release of a game looking for bugs. I just like to play.

Haha, that's hilarious looking. What system are you on and did it fix itself later in the game?

Xbox 360. When I was up to bat the next inning my pitcher was still there. I fast forwarded and it went away.

            Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Discussion Thread

I don't know if this counts as a bug or glitch, but the new fielding camera is downright terrible on deep fly balls. The camera is so high up and aimed downward of current ball position that (On a deep fly ball to center) I could not see Drew Stubbs positioning on the ball until the ball was probably a second from the ground.

He misses the ball and a pop fly turns into a double for A-Rod. That's bull.

Haven't really seen any of the other bugs. I am annoyed that 2k didn't make an effort to setup a different substitution process when you pinch hit for a pitcher in the batting half of an inning and then want to bring in an actual pitcher when your team returns to the field. I had Edgar Renteria pinch hit for my starter to keep a rally going. When we enter the top of the next inning, Renteria is on the mound. Okay... it gives me the prompt to replace him with a pitcher (good) and once I replace him, the manager trots out towards a disgusted looking Renteria. Renteria hangs his head and Dusty Baker pats him on the back as if, you know, Renteria was (A) actually pitching at some point and (B) an actual pitcher.

It is a real immersion breaker for me. Probably doesn't quite count as a "glitch", but it should.

The first game of the season, I just simmed, and it credited everyone's fatigue correctly. Even if you start a game, and then sim to the end, it will apply fatigue correctly. But sim to the end, and it seems to reset.

So there is an issue. This seems like an easy bug to squash, as something must have just been turned off by one of their late bug fixes. I'm curious if it was there pre-patch. I downloaded the patch upon my first play through.
This may have already been discussed, but if what Jayhawker says is correct, there could be a way to somewhat get around this problem, although not the optimal solution. Couldn't you just play 8 2/3 innings and sim the last out. Of course this would be awful to do in a close game and it shouldn't need to be done. But it is somewhat of a way around it.

My thoughts exactly - can someone confirm whether or not this works?

I hope this is the correct place, here goes

                  System
                  PC
                  Mode
                  Franchise Spring Training
                  Situation
Center fielder catches a deep fly ball with 1 out men on 1st and 2nd. I tagged up the runner on 2nd and advanced to third on the catch, the center fielder kept his back to the filed of play so I advanced to home. This occurred with Scott Rolen.

Fred Lewis successfully stole 2nd base. When the "Reds" graphic came up to shown he replay, the entire game froze. I had to shut off the system.(X360). 7.5 innings and 50 minutes of my life down the drain.

Was this in a Play Now or Franchise Mode game?

I've seen two instances where the game froze for me

                          1. when Jose Bautista (me) threw to first to record the out

                          2. When a batter hit a foul ball to the right side of the field. I was pitching.

The first happened during Play Now game and the 2nd during a Franchise game.

Sorry I didn't specify. It was in my fifth franchise game. All these bugs (freezing and franchise fatigue specifically) really kill an overall fun game to play.

Fatigue bug is definitely in post patch. I got the 2 meg update and downloaded it and fired up a franchise. Started CC in game 1 and he threw 94-97 pitches and his range was 92-115. When I was done with the game and went into team health he's at 100. Went to the very next game to play it and hit start as I was going into the game and Sabathia showed up at 99 energy in the menu same as everyone else. Got into the game and hit pause he's got 99 energy and his pitch cap is 95-115.
