    Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

Summary of bug: 7 inning, after the end of the inning pitcher got injured. Message pops up to replace the injured player. Reliever is selected but the game won't let me replace the injured pitcher. No way out. Had to turned off the xbox.

Game Mode you were playing: Franchise

What happened to trigger it? Injured pitcher after inning ended.

Can you reproduce it? Hopefully not.

Video/Picture proof: No. Next time for sure.

      What happened to trigger it?
Adjusted sliders down to 30 for CPU Throw Power but it was not changed.

Can you reproduce it? If so, how?:
Try playing a game against the Reds with Chapman pitching, you should see the consistent 105 MPH fastball, lowest I saw was 103.

      Video/Picture proof:
Can't obtain now but should be fairly common if a game is played.

If you pitch with Chapman, his fastball will not be that fast, as is the case with many pitchers. Seems like many if not all CPU controlled pitchers throw beyond their real life fastball speeds.

I don't think so, it hasn't happened again

Are you sure about that? According to Wikipedia, his fastball was clocked at 105 in the Minor Leagues, and his fastball averaged 101.3 in the majors last year. He does not appear to consistently throws 105 mph.

By the way, you pitch with him and see what you get.

Pitch f/x has Chapman's fastball last season averaged at 99.4 mph and his slider at 86.5 for a total of 215 pitches in 2010 season.

                Re: MLB2K11 - Bug/Glitch Thread

Summary of bug: Backstop in wrigley is all black. Backstop is in the shadow during day or afternoon games causing the brick to just look like a flat dark patch behind the batter. Very ugly in an otherwise beautiful rendering of the park.

Game Mode you were playing: Any game mode where you are playing at wrigley, day or afternoon.

What happened to trigger it? I think the shadows are supposed to be covering the brick wall backstop, but you should still be able to see the brick. It seems to be like that in either a day or afternoon game (almost every game for the Cubbies). Maybe they can adjust the shadow effect for Wrigley with a patch?

Can you reproduce it? If so, how?: Just play a day game at wrigley

I agree, no way he throws 105 consistently.

unfortunately for my pads Aroldis Chapman does throw 105 mph. i know i was there to witness his record breaking fastball i think it was clocked at 105.6 mph. and in that game he was consistently around 103 mph.

He's not going to throw consistently at 105, but he's toppin out around that easily. It's incredible what he does.. and yea .. he's a rookie so he's only gonna get better and probably only gonna throw harder within the next 3 years until he's gettin into his late 20's.. then it'll drop down some

Spring training game Cubs Vs Brewers. Brewers have a guy on 2nd. Zambrano throws a pitch and injures his hip. I bring in Kerry Wood, and the runner on 2nd is gone. No outs recorded and no run scored.

They don't average speed based on one game, or at least you shouldn't. Pitch Fx tracked him for the season total of 215 pitches--and his fastball average was 99.4

He hit 105 once in September of 2010 and that's not topping at 105 easily. Again, his average was 99.4 for 2010--and you don't get 99.4 by easily topping at 105.
