    Re: MLB 2K12 Wishlist

I would like to see more in-depth stats in My Player such as how you hit against different teams, how you are hitting at home and away and possibly even your career stats against certain pitchers. There also needs to be a lot more celebrations for things such as walkoffs and breaking records.

I have to agree here. In franchise, although automation for MLB lineups is "Off", the CPU changes the lineup to its setting, sending worse players down to the minors. The CPU also messes with my pitching assignments, but only my closer and set up man, less so my starters.

I'm not sure if it has to do with minors lineup automation being on, but this is an annoying problem.

          Re: MLB 2K12 Wishlist

To be honest I just played a game and realized how terrible this game actually is.

What NEEDS to be improved for this game to be decent at all:

          - Fix how swing happy the AI is. It almost seems like that the better a hitter is, the more likely it is they swing at pitches out of the zone/are less likely to take strikes. Very weird.

          - Eliminate the soft lineouts to the infielders already. This almost never happens in baseball. More groundballs. Period.

          - Allow dominant pitchers to be actually dominant. I'm tired of it being easier for the AI to hit fastballs closer to 100 than it is for them to hit an 84 mph fastball. This is an extremely annoying part of pitching in my opinion.

          - The simulation engine can be good, but I think its affected by sliders greatly. I'm seeing too many good players having down years and too many bad players having good years.

          - Fix the AI manager logic, which is still terrible, despite their reported "improvements." The AI manager will often pinch hit or make defensive substitutes that make no sense at all (and theres even a glitch where they put an infielder in as a catcher). Their management of a bullpen is a joke too - the pitch counts for middle relief guys are too high, so they get left in for awhile. And where are the lefty guys who come in to face only lefties? Oh right, the AI cant figure this out, so it isnt in the game.

          - the AI franchise mode logic is terrible as well. In every franchise I've had I've seen starting pitchers on other teams who should be relief man/setup man. For some reason the AI decides that a guy with 60 stamina should be the starting pitcher. Its terrible.

          - As someone said, fix the nonsense where the AI messes with your lineup if you bring someone up from the minors/send someone to the DL. Its stupid. Automation off = should be off.

          - Fix the animations of all the fielders. How is it that this years version has the worst animations of any game in the series yet? The infielders look like morons fielding groundballs, and outfielders catch flyballs in the most awkward ways imaginable. Its unbelieveable how bad they are, and I'm surprised more people dont talk about this.

Theres probably more issues I'm forgetting, but overall I'm beginning to realize that this year's version might be a step back from last years. Yeah, the human batting is finally good, but everything else has problems.

Yeah, I just love it when some CPU pitcher can easily make contact with a 100 mph fastball. I agree with you about everything said.

Waiver trades and add in team needs for good farm systems also add in differences in budgets so that bad teams have to waiver key guys to get above water and to also get free agents the next off season

                        Re: MLB 2K12 Wishlist

                        1) edit uniform selection: there are far too many uniforms missing in this game that i actual see in real life, especially away uniforms.

                        2) ability to get ejected for hitting batter more than twice by the pitcher.

                        3) dynamic crowd attendance: If im 57-63 or 70-30, there should be a difference in the crowd there. If im last in my division, i shouldnt have 40,000 fans in the seats.

                        4) better dugout animations and reactions: when i look at NBA2k11 bench, they react too everything, making them seem alive. This should be the same for the dugout. Have players talking to one another and walking around drinking water, booing calls and celebrating RBIs and Homers.

                        5) Better looking and more accurate statiums: i live in washington, dc and the nationals park is missing its name behind the catcher when u see it on tv. Just the little things.

                        6) check swing should work and not be called a strike everytime.

                        7) Better strategy from the AI: the AI should make better decisions when making defensive subs, base-runners and pulling pitchers on the fly. If i have a left-handed batter, the AI should select a right-handed pitcher for the situation, especially in late innings.

                        8) crowd atmosphere sucks: The crowd should react better to situations in the game. If its late in the game and im ahead, the crowd should be loud and standing, especially too 3-2 counts. Pitching battles is another, when david ortiz had that 14 pitch battle, the crowd was crazy.

                        9) I love the stat overlays in MLB2k11: But they need around the league scores displayed in a ticker and maybe individual stats talked about more indepth. Maybe about career stats and what they did last year, something of that nature.

                        10) better ball tragectory from batting and variables: It seems like the ball is always going in the same path if u hit it in certain way.

                        11) Playoff atmosphere sucks: There needs to be a different look and sound to the playoffs from regular season. The crowd should be waving towels and much louder, maybe wearing the same shirts, like in 2008 with "the sea of red" in philly at that playoff game. Also commentary should be different and maybe talking about what happened during the season along with playoff commentary.

                        12) Better and more animations for fielding, especially the infield when doing double-plays. Also better AI for decisions when making plays and where to throw too...should be rating based.

                        13) dynamic weather: rain, rain delays, wind...etc

                        14) More correct batting stances for players, player models needs a overhauled and the ability to add facial hair.

                        15) At default the batting power doesnt seem to matter much. People have to raise the slider to 80 too have a effect. If a batter has 65-75 batting power, he still should be able to hit homeruns, it doesnt seem that way on default 50. Make the slider more balanced and make ratings matter in the game.

                        16) Just be true to the game, i love what u have done, my ideas along with many others will make your game great and surpass that other game out there. Where not asking for perfection, just be as close as u can to real life.

                          1. My Player: Make it realistic. I want to negotiate contracts or later become an FA. The storyline isn't realistic (AA to MLB). Why not AAA or A?

There should really be some focus on the minors. (i.e. Real People Please?)

                          2. Weather: It should rain. There should be some PPDs, rain delays, doubleheaders. Bring out the tarp.

                          3. Fans: The attendance should be realistic. Every game shouldn't be a sellout. (i.e. Who wants to see Mariners and Royals?) There should be factors that determine.

                          4. Playlist: I don't like all the music. If you listen closely, some songs have stupid lyrics. It gets repetitive too.

                          5. In game music: Where's the organ, clap sequences, you know what it is like at a real game.

                          6. Check swings... period.

                          7. Statistics: When they say a player is " x for whatever" batting .whatever, it should continue realistically during a season (in Franchise).

                          8. Fire managers, coaches. There should be attention to adding real people out of the job.

                          9. Arguments, ejections, etc.

MAKE IT REAL. Think of what you see in real life, duplicate it. The glitches have to stop. DO they even look? The one that I hate the most. In the pregame, when it gives pitching matchups, at the top of the screen (scores from the previous game) it always doubles the score from both sides.

                                A few things.

                                1) I want to wear a looser fitting jersey, unbuttoned, with a chain, and shorter sleeves. (Similar to Travis Hafner) But i can't because there is only one way to wear your jersey in MLB 2k11. Look at the difference in the way Mike Stanton wears his jersey compared to the way Jason Werth wears his jersey, completely different, but in 2k, it's the exact same. And A LOT of players wear chains in real life, but can't in 2k.

                                2) In my player mode, when you reach a milestone or break a record, or win the world series, there should a way bigger celebration than there. Also when you hit a walk off homerun they should be waiting at home plate for you.

                                3) There should be rain-delays, and they should pull out the tarp.

                                4) All star games, the players should be wearing there teams uniform.

                                5) Some batting stances, and pitching motions could use work, especially what pitchers do before they pitch, specifically in the stretch (like James Shields).

That is about it for me. I really enjoy the game play, I think it is pretty good, so i wouldn't mind if nothing changed there. My problem is just with the presentation and if they add a few things, and make the game and the players look like how they look in real life, then it could potentially be one of the best sports games ever.
