As far as fielding ratings, I thought this affected which balls they could get to and how big their circle was in the outfield? If if you lower these ratings to "0" are all the circles not huge and the players really slow at getting to hits? If so, then I think this rating means something, too.

    Anyway, just wondering.
Yes, I noticed the green area shrunk to nothing at all. But it made no difference to my throws. Every one of my throws was on-target. Even my throws to homeplate etc. from the outfield, where I charged up the throw until it was on max red, were never wild or off-target. A couple feet up the line maybe, but that's was it.

As for the rest, when you edit a player's glove and position rating to 0, you should see tons of bobbles and fielding errors. I saw none.

Like I said, in previously 2K games, lowering a 1B's glove rating to 0 for example would cause him to drop every other throw to 1st base. I used to use Giambi as my test subject and got a lot of laughs watching him miss throws and run to the dugout to retrieve the ball... you know, the same way he plays in real life, ha!

In this year's game, nothing, nadda, zilch. Every throw was on the money, and every ball was caught.

That was part of my original point though. Use the stick to throw but don't hold it, just tap it toward the base you want... the meter magically ends up in the green. Like I said, its 'snaps' into place.

In essence ,all you're doing is selecting where to throw, it does the rest itself.
