Well I'm thinking about moving one of my veterans. Barry Zito specifically. I love my young guys in Lincecum, Cain, and Sanchez. I've even had big time success with Baumgarner. But Zito is... well... not good. Oddly enough his trend is still on the upswing, but I'd almost rather move him, bring up one of my big AAA prospects, and see if there's anything I could get for Zito.

At the same time, Zito's overall rating isn't horrible, and I do have *some* use for him. Despite the fact that he just got me absolutely destroyed by the Braves.

After looking at the trade finder for him, I say you should go grab Michael Young for him. Young is still like an 88 although he's getting old. He's a nice bat in the lineup.

That'd be interesting. I'm still giving my team some time to see how everything shapes out before making any significant roster moves.

I'm also hesitating on bringing bats in now because... well... I'm wondering if the difficulty is currently too easy. Ironic enough, since just a week and a half ago or so I posted asking for tips on how to get better because the CPU was crushing me. Now? I went from 1-9, to 9-11. I have the highest batting average in the majors through April thus far, despite having a pretty low batting rating overall. I'm wondering if it's just one of those things that's going to even itself out as the season progresses, if it's the fact that I absolutely destroyed the D'Backs lowsy pitching and padded my stats, if it's the fact that I *am* using the defending World Series champions, so I'm bound to naturally have a good team, or if perhaps I need to look into adjusting sliders (something I hate doing mid-season). I only have a couple guys in my lineup that are batting sub .300 (I think only Posey, Huff, and Ross are sub .300), I'm raking with guys like Aaron Rowand who have hitting ratings in the 60's, and God forbid when Freddy Sanchez comes off the DL, who was batting something like .448 before the injury. Well maybe I over exaggerated the hitting with guys in the 60's bit... Aaron Rowand is the only one I'm actually having major success with, and Tejada is real streaky (I'll go 2-4, 3-4 with him, or 0-4 with him), and has most of his success against left handed pitchers where he has a 70 contact.

If it's a case of the game being too easy, I'm not going to make very many roster moves. If it's a case of I've just been facing competition I match up well against, then I'll make the appropriate roster moves as they come.

I won my last series with the Rockies 2-1, but I didn't face Ubaldo Jimenez, and I'm currently 1-1 in my series against the Braves, but I had Zito on the mound, so I don't know if I got destroyed cuz it was Zito, or if I got destroyed cuz the Braves were better than me.

Thats really good to hear bro, at l;east now you've heated up. it may just be a case of facing bad pitching or good pitching.

What do you think about this, i'm thinking since I already got some speed with Maybin, Bartlett, and Venable (against righties), and not a lot of power, you think adding the Bat of Napoli would be better or the speed of Ellsbury. Keep in mind I play at Petco.

1andonly I would go with the bat of Napoli. You only play half your games in Petco so some power would help your lineup on the road as well as a possible homerun hitter at home. I love using the padres in this game but as much as they play small ball they do need some help in the power part of the game. Just my opinion.

My franchise pretty much got ****ed up. So I had to start brand new. Im the Padres, and I have already added Prince Fielder. I wanna grab 1 more power bat to go along with him, I was thinking somebody young.

Would the D-Backs trade Chris Young CF or is he pretty much untouchable? Same goes for Hunter Pence, Curtis Granderson and Carlos Quentin. Any insight would be really helpful.

Also if those guys are untouchable I was thinking about a young contact guy like any of these, Howie Kendrick, Jacoby Ellsbury, and Ian Kinsler,

The injury bug where someone gets hurt and they don't heal unless you sim the games. I had Latos get hurt for I think it was 30+ games and I had some hitting go down. I play all my games so having to sim 30+ games to get someone healthy I said forget it and I started a new one

Check out Mark Reynolds for Power, or Mike Stanton. O's and Marlins will get rid of them for the right price. They strike out a lot but have ridiculous power. Contact wise, check out Tabata from the Pirates.

Did you try the work around of sending them to the minors?

The Indians offered me a trade that I ended up turning down, but I did consider it because it gave me a bit of power in my lineup that I'm missing. They offered me 1B Travis Hafner and C Lou Marson for CF Andres Torres and SP Waldis Joaquin (AAA). But in the end, I turned it down, because Hafner's power ratings are against righties, the same as Huff's strengths. So I ended up turning it down and keeping Torres (I wasn't too worried about giving up the AAA prospect, he's only like a *** prospect)

I think I could try for Reynolds but i'm gonna stay away from Stanton so it says realistic. Because if it isn't realistic then look at this lineup. This lineup will show you with just simple trades and no trade overrule option how good you can make a team. I started with the base San Diego Padres. May I remind you the Padres have a very small budget, and this was all done while staying under budget.

All these players have 5 star potential except Asdrubal Cabrera who only has 4.

                        1. 2B Ian Kinsler 89 Ovr
                        2. SS Asdrubal Cabrera 85 Ovr
                        3. 1B Prince Fielder 90 Ovr
                        4. 3B Kendrys Morales 88 Ovr
                        5. LF Nelson Cruz 91 Ovr
                        6. RF Mike Stanton 85 Ovr
                        7. CF Hunter Pence 89 Ovr
                        8. C Matt Weiters 80 Ovr

Pitching - Besides Harang and Stauffer who are only 4 stars, the rest of these pitchers are 5 star potentials.

                        1. Cole Hamels 89 Ovr
                        2. Mat Latos 88 Ovr
                        3. Aaron Harang 85 Ovr
                        4. Tim Stauffer 84 Ovr
                        5. Michael Pineda 83 Ovr

                        Bullpen

                        1. Mike Adams 81 Ovr
                        2. Luke Gregorson 82 Ovr
                        3. Heath Bell 92 Ovr
                        4. Joe Thatcher 78 Ovr

It's just way too easy trading in this game. They need to ask for more when trading. I just turned a bad low budget Padres team into the best team in baseball while staying under budget.

no prospects at all, I basically gave up the Padres starting lineup so no, no significant talent, Here is the list of players I gave up. if I put ?? it means they are a 2* or 3* and suck so bad I don't remember their rating.

                              1. Dustin Moseley 77 3*, Chad Qualls 76 3*, Jamie bennett 66 3* for Michael Pineda.

                              2. Ernesto Frieri 76 4*, Pat Neshek 70 3*, Samuel Deduna ?? for Cole Hamels.

                              3. Chase Headley 80 4*, Paul Durham ??, Norm Owens ?? for Kendrys Morales.

                              4. Wade LeBlanc 72 3*, Nick Hund;ley 70 3*, Eric Saunders 72 3* for Matt Weiters.

                              5. Orlando Hudson 78 3*, Will Venable 72 4*, Brad Hawpe 71 4* for Ian Kinsler.

                              6. Everth Cabrera 76 4*, Luis Durango 73 3*, Eric Patterson 69 3* for Asdrubal Cabrera.

                              7. Kyle Blanks 78 4*, Jason Bartlett 4*, Rob Johnson 58 2*, for Mike Stanton.

                              8. Chris Denorfia 82 4*, Jorge Cantu 76 4*, Jarret Hoffpauir 68 3*, for Hunter Pence.

                              9. Clayton Richard 80 4*, Ryan Ludwick 76 3*, Alberto Gonzalez 68 3*, for Nelson Cruz.

                              10. Cameron Maybin 80 4*, Mike Baxter 66 3*, Kyle Phillips 59 3*, for Prince Fielder.

I gave up nothing and in return I got the best team in baseball.

I dont use trade over rule, its just easy to trade, I agree. My first year Mariners are:

                                Ichiro
                                Pedroia
                                Smoak
                                Dunn
                                Stanton
                                Reynolds
                                Olivo
                                Ianetta
                                Iglesias

                                Also grabbed Broxton and Gregerson.

All legit trades. I trade prospects for trade partners that I pair with the current player position Im trading away for. Im just good at finding deals in Player Finder. Ill list every trade I made and you can even try them. Are they realistic? Well Im the Owner now so I can wheel and deal all I want. the other teams got good return value honestly.

                                My fourth year Reds are:

                                Stubbs
                                Andrus
                                Votto
                                Bruce
                                Carlos Santana
Camden Nelson Graves (anyone whos played a few years of Franchise knows this name)
                                Phillips
                                Heisey

All these guys are above 87, cant remember everyone's rating off hand.

Also picked up soria and Santos for the Pen.

I only trade for young 4 or 5 star players, but mostly 5 stars. I could have went crazy like you and made the Yankees 2.0, but I wanted some chance of losing LoL.
