No.. If you put a player on the 15 day DL, that is a hard timed 15 days. His injury may last longer, and you may need to put him on another 15 days or whatever, but 15 days is 15 days. I understand what you're saying about injury length not being exact, which is how it should be, but the actual DL time should decrease every day, and its not.

I thought the same thing too, but I figured if he's on the 15-day DL, with a 29 day DL duration, it must be because the player needs to be DL'd a second time after his first stint.
My injury with Sanchez never said 15 days left on DL, even though he was placed on the 15-day DL.Comment

I'm playing the PC version with "NoFakeNames13" roster via franchise which I myself fully edited with top 100 prospects and complete AAA; and have yet to see this as a problem. I started my franchise months before the patch and all of the injured players continue to heal as normal post patch. So I'm wondering if this is just a 360 bug or if the rosters you are using are corrupted...Comment

Personally, I think it has more to do with injury durations not being exact. Like I've stated, since I've noticed the patch, I've had players no decrease, or decrease 2 days in 1 day. But I'd like a bit more further evidence one way or another. Something is definitely not exactly clear in what's going on.Comment

Apparently there are reports of people playing with the default rosters who are noticing a problem as well.

Is it possible then that its just not affecting everyone? I know on PC games bugs dont hit everyone cuz everyone is on a different setup, but with consoles everyone is running the same thing.

2KSports is a second-rate, bush league company who continues to release games, or in this case a patch without enough proper testing to catch a simple bug.
This is ****ing inexcusable if there isn't an immediate fix for this.

As a game goes, I feel that 2K is superior to EA in every aspect of actual gameplay and realism.
But looking back at all the 2K Sports games I've ever played, all the way back to the holy grail NFL 2K5, and even earlier, their quality control isn't nearly as good as EA.
I'll be the first person to badmouth EA and Madden in comparison to 2K, but I will credit EA for the fact that you'll never see stuff like this in an EA Sports game.
I agree with you on the fact that bugs like this is inexcusable from a game studio. I dont feel ripped off, because I still love the game, but I've seen too many bugs that shouldn't be.
Here's hoping that they emergency patch this. In the meantime, I can only hope that I haven't been affected by it.Comment

Personally, this is what I think is going on.
I didn't pay TOO much attention to it pre-patch, but I really feel like when I had Buster Posey out, there were a couple times where his injury duration didn't decrease after every game.
Post patch, since I have seen the announcement of this "bug", I have played 2 games. The first game, all of my guys decreased 1 day, with 1 player decreasing 2 days, and after the second game, 2 players stayed the same with 1 player decreasing.
So I've had players decrease after every game. I've had a player decrease 2 days after 1 game, and I've had a couple players not decrease.
I feel like the injury duration is more of an estimate than an exact length of time. But those are just my feelings, I can't say for certain what's going on. I'm not going to delete the patch just yet, until I know more for sure.Comment

Well for one, I haven't encountered it yet. Everyone currently injured for me has decreased post patch. I have had days where someone didn't, but I feel like I witnessed that pre-patch as well. So for my franchise, it is currently not broken. That could change. But as of now I have not encountered it.
For two, I feel like the gameplay is amazing. One of my big problems with EA is that with Madden, your players dont matter, the outcome is predetermined by tye difficulty sliders. On all madden, forget about having an offensive line full of 90+ rated blockers, they will get tossed aside by practice squaders. Forget about having a 99 catch rating receiver (90+ overall) hell drop wide open drag routes and lead the league in drops. Forget about having a high accuracy and throw power QB hell make errant throws left and right. All things I've had happen in my franchise. On tye flip side, put it to all pro and I can beat any team in the league 35-14 with practice squaders.
At least with 2K, if I have good pitchers, they pitch good. Bad hitters hit bad. Power hitters leas my team in HR's and extra base hits, while contact hitters rack up base hits. Going against a strong lineup means something, and weak hitters are easy outs. I feel like it matters that I have Tim lincecum in my rotation. Take EA and it doesn't matter if I have Peyton manning or Alex Smith, im going to win or lose regardless based on the setting.
This bug is inexcusable, and hopefully there is an immediate fix. But I'll take my chances on proper gameplay and possible bugs, than no bugs but bad gameplay.
Im not trying to knock EA btw... I'll be first in like at midnight launch to pick up Madden. And im sure while I'll have complaints, there will be plenty that EA does correctly. But if I had a choice between 2K and EA, id take 2K everytime.Comment

Guys, could it just be an error in the script? Meaning that the days a player is listed on the DL doesn't change, however he's available after say, his 15 days is up? Has anyone checked this?Comment

I had a player with 2+ and 2 left. I played a game on Wednesday he didn't drop any at all. I played Thursday and Friday's games as well. On Saturday he came off of the DL.
Seems like what franchise is saying is right.Comment
