Do you see the irony in 'telling' others to not mention MLB 2K's name around The Show (a game that you love, not a problem there), yet you have NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER doing all of this in, of all places, the 2K forum. I can't stop laughing.I'm assuming it was towards me. Honestly, if you want a game for arcade style baseball that has glitches, MLB 2K might be what you want. Realism wise, don't even speak MLB 2K's name around The Show, please, I might be on the floor laughing for hours. The Show is polished and is probably going to release a game this spring that will demolish 2K if their brave enough to put a game on the shelves.

I think it was brought up before I posted about 2K and The Show so don't start this. Either way, ratings speak for themselves.Comment

Re: MLB 2k12.... Its coming.
Honestly, the show has been overrated for years now. It looks purty, but the vaunted franchise AI is a joke and gameplay works best when you set it to auto-field and auto run. The analog pitching is terrible. Manage mode is neat, but nowhere near as immersive and accurate as BBPro was more than 10 years ago.
And as pretty as it looks, the presentation is abysmal.
But there a ton of PS3 users that love to use the game to show off to their friends how good the PS3 looks. It will get a ton of love regardless of how boring it is to play. See Gran Turismo vs. Forza.
2K got a lot of bad press (deservedly) over 2K8 and 2K9. Both of those games shipped with ridiculous amounts of problems. Of course, both improved substantially after they were patched. So It is fair that 2K10 and 2K11 suffered for the sins of those earlier games.
But the reality is, I play games to have fun, not show off pretty graphics to my friends. And while many fanboys like to trot out the PS3 spin of 2K11 being arcadish and shallow, it's a lie. It is statistically more accurate, provides more depth in terms of ratings and their affect on how you manage a game.Comment

Everything you just said is BS.. especially the last part. Plus, you exaggerated like crazy because baseball is baseball and The Show represents baseball much more accurately. Also, 2K11's AI is worse than The Show's. It really isn't worth a discussion.Honestly, the show has been overrated for years now. Not sure why we're having a debate on the show vs. 2k here... I don't own a ps3, so 2k baseball is the only option i have. personally, l love the game. this thread is about the future of 2k12, not a debate about a game on which the 360 doesn't even offer...STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

When you come in and say one game beats the other one in every single way, it makes you look like a blinded fanboy.
The Show is very good game. But I've heard complaints about the franchise AI, bad baserunning/fielding, stale commentary, and that the pitching isn't nearly as good as 2k's.

Verlander on the cover would be perfect but, oh well. I don't like the fact that this generation of consoles are killing sports games as they are all I play. No college BB and with baseball struggling to make $$ how long will that go on. as for hockey I actually cant stand NHL from EA. Back on topic a MLB 2k12 is great newsGaming hard since 1988
I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.Comment

Re: MLB 2k12.... Its coming.
I did say MLB 2k has better commentary and The Shows Franchise mode needs work. All I said is if The Show passes 2k in those 2 areas it will be a complete game. If The Show came out for 360 I guarantee you buy it....if you have a 360 it isn't bad, but it just isn't great yet. I don't buy the show to show it off, I buy it because it's a top 3 sports game available for ps3.When you come in and say one game beats the other one in every single way, it makes you look like a blinded fanboy.

Re: MLB 2k12.... Its coming.
The show is all about ratings and user input matters very little if at all.
Ratings need to matter but in a way where user input is also included, PYS anyone!
I get way more of this with 2K11 than the show by far.Comment

Re: MLB 2k12.... Its coming.
Actually I bought 2k for the pc, and with mods, it's probably the best baseball game I've played. A couple years ago, I wanted the Show, but now I'm totally happy with 2k11 after being very disappointed with the last three games.I did say MLB 2k has better commentary and The Shows Franchise mode needs work. Word. 2K11 on PC is where it's at. I'd rather play it over any other baseball game, to be honest.Comment

I'm not to familiar with computer games so what is MODS and how does it make the game better?Comment

Re: MLB 2k12.... Its coming.
All the little uniform defects are fixed. Fully edited rosters. Real ads instead of fake ones. The circles under players can be changed to look much better. Accessories look better. There's a mod that enhances the colors and improves the graphics. Roster editors allow you to make wholesale changes in and outside of franchise mode.
