I do like the Franchise Mode and having the Free Agent Player A and B comp types, and the ten round draft.

But it does have work specially on the facial features.

(If this has been in past games I'm sorry. Just got my XBOX three months ago, and it has opened up my world to gaming.)

If MLB 2K12 builds onto MLB 2k11 I'm gonna pass on it this next season. As someone said above fun game to play but the bugs really ruin the long term replay ability for me. Thank GOD I can play the other game, wish I could have some variance but oh well...

2K definitely has a fun vibe to the game. I don't even know how to describe it and I love the analog pitching. But I'm not putting up with all the basic errors and bugs this year. I wonder how much 2K even cares any more as this is the last year of the exclusive deal that has lost them a lot of money. I'd like to know if they still plan on making baseball games after this year or if they are just going to quit.

I'm having more fun right now with this game than any other game this year. Sure it's far from perfect, but I don't think perfection will ever be achieved, considering how critical many of us have become of video games. I'm looking forward to the next version of the game but for now this one suites me just fine.

I agree. The running animations are terrible. I really hope they fix it.

Yes the running the swing animations need to be fixed. They also have to make fielding not to auto (more user controlled) as far as diving for plays

Most of us agree the game is fun, and pretty good despite the bugs. I still love playing it on PC. This series has continued to improve each year since VC took over...and they've put out a good game the past two years....the problem is they haven't done a very good job of patching the all bugs (thankfully they've fixed the major stuff, but there's always a few annoying things that linger, although not game-breakers). Every video has bugs these days on release, but some companies to a better job of patching than others. The patches 2K releases are usually good, but they just don't release enough of them...

Based on 2K10 & 11, this next game should be good....let's just hope it gets better patch support....And yes, let's hope those baserunning animations are improved!

I totally agree Jeffy, I really like 2k11. Now with that said there are issues. Soft liners, warping of the ball in the glove, base running, stats errors for pitchers, uniforms missing, players faces, cut-offs...etc. They really need to focus on last years bugs and add what we all have talked about. Playoff atmosphere is must. More presentation enhancements, more dialog between commentators, and gameplay. Take care of those and we have a gem of a game that can equal or finally surpass the SHOW. Here's too 2k12

I honestly don't why 2K is even bothering to release another edition of this game with the same engine. It's a flawed, buggy mess for the last 3 years, improvements each year simply lead to other ones.

Financially, 2K12 will be a bust, considering how poorly 2K11 sold. The name "MLB 2K" is now a joke, well known fro delivering an inferior version of video baseball.

Frankly, 2K Sports deserves it for releasing MLB 2K9 and running the franchise name into the ground.

I still love the game--been playing it since release day since I'm a baseball fanatic. The main issues I hope they fix are:

Animations in the outfield, fielding mechanics in the outfield
Replay swing animations
Base-running animations (especially to first)
Atmosphere in the dugout and after the game, better cut scenes

If they just polish these things up a bit I'll be happy.

That's been the slogan of 2k10 and 2k11, though. I had fun with 2k10, but no way would it hold my interest over a season.

I really had a pretty good time with 2k11 and it honestly just need some polish and tweaks to the sim engine. They have a good foundation but a lot of the little nuances of baseball are missing. Hopefully they just build on the foundation they have instead of trying to do too much

My friends and I still play this game regularly. Especially online. Please 2K, do NOT take away our ability to customize ONLINE unranked games in MLB2K12 the way you did with the nba game.

All this game needs is a bit of tweaking, bring back the check swings, and I'll be happy next year too.
