"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: MLB 2K12 Not Phoning It In, But Will We See MLB 2K13?
im a 360 owner, so i cant buy the other game... i enjoy this series though and i dont even want the other game. but i wouldnt mind a 2k13. honestly, with the gap EA would have between baseball games, i really dont think that an mvp 13 would be any better.
just my personal opinion.Last edited by SportsGamingBlake; 02-19-2012, 03:13 PM.Comment

I don't blame 2K - I blame the MLB for watching their sport die and not trying to do a damn thing to save it.Comment

Re: MLB 2K12 Not Phoning It In, But Will We See MLB 2K13?
Sports games are complicated to program so I doubt any publisher would be able to step up and create a quality product for 2013... Especially since no publisher seems to have any idea if they'll even be able to make one.
If someone else scoops up the exclusive contract, us players could end up facing the same situation (a publisher who can't get the fundamentals right).
I'd like to see 2K continue with MLB 2K13 but without exclusivity. Without the high cost of that deal, it would make sense for them to continue. To put it bluntly, they could just roster update with minimal effort and still achieve profit with no competition.
Plus, the 2K series does do a lot right. The games just need polish and need to be bug free on release day. If they actually had play tested thoroughly, I would have been happy with 2K11. So, I'd hate to lose the series because of the same scenario that made us lose the MVP series in the first place.Comment
