I have a very stupid question, but let me preface it by saying that I haven't played a baseball game in about ten years until today. Needless to say, I'm out of touch with this generation's games.

With that out of the way, how the hell do you actually steal? I've tried to hold down the trigger button as it says in the manual, but nothing happens. I can't even get the baserunner to go in the base-stealing drills.

You're almost doing it right. You do need to hold down the trigger. It'll vibrate THEN you'll have to release it as the pitcher begins to throw home. Just holding it down won't make the runner steal. You have to actually let go of the button to actually make your guy run.

Does the my player mode has the same depth as NBA 2K12?

Does that mode have replay value?

How is the my player mode? Can you use alternate jerseys? I don't care if you can't choose them yourself, if the game does it randomly that's cool. But every once in a while a different jersey would be nice to look at instead I the same thing for 160+ games.

In the demo i noticed on numerous occasions the pitcher hitting for himself and then getting subbed out the next half inning for a new pitcher. Does this still happen in the retail copy.

Talk about lazy programming. It's one of the basic sub rules in the course of a game. They were well aware of this last year but couldn't take a minute to rectify the issue, shameful.

I'm also interested in the My Player mode. How is it compared to NBA's?
Also, is anyone seeing a lot of HR's using regular swing? I know that last year, you basically had to use power-swing in order to bomb. I was hoping that was fixed for this year.

Is there a way to change the Camera settings? I've looked all over, when I'm in the practice sessions there is a camera option, but when in the actual game there aren't any camera settings and I'm getting tired of trying to pitch from it being super far away :-\

Once you pause the game, you need to move the r-stick. That will bring up all of the options. There will be one called Camera. There are a ton of options for changing the cameras.

Here's a question I've had about My Player Season Mode since they introduced it. What is the cut-off point to play each game? Midnight? When the game starts? Ends?

The reason I ask this is because couldn't you, technically, finish 162-0? If you can wait to see if the real-life team won before you play the game, you could just skip every game that they win and just play the games that they lose, rectify it and finish 162-0.

Or am I wrong? I've just thought that unless there is a cut-off time of when you can actually play the game, it could become rather pointless.

on 360 its on the screen that shows the hitting controls and the one that shows pitching controls (look at lower left should say total control) then hit left or right bumper.

I know in last years pc game it wasn't very obvious how to change controls, check this thread from last year and see if it helps.

What are people adjusting for the lack of steals? So far I've gunned down baserunners 3 times in 3 attempts and I can't steal for the life of me.
