Well in 2k11 which i have it's one of the options at the start of the game , forget exactly where it's located, maybe video settings? It's the program you let run and the cpu plays a game for you for a minute or two then adjusts settings.

Either that or reinstall, you won't lose your settings and franchise stuff if you do cause they're saved in a separate location.

Interesting. I remember benchmark performance but that would just take the settings I enter and tell me my frame rate. I just played around until I got over 60 fraps.

Yeah benchmark settings. Maybe i'm wrong on how it works, wouldn't be the first time.

Faces are one of the worst aspects of the game. There's a ton of repetitive generic faces and even the custom ones look terrible. Thus, it is top priority!

What is VPN? I have a Steam account (eur) and always have difficulties with region locked games. Can someone explain?

            thanks

You can try OpenVPN.Simple explanation: It alters your region IP and sends the region's IP you want to unlock the game for your country.

Buy it from ultimatum game keys and you avoid any region issues. It's worked perfectly for me.

Are you using the one with or without the MLB logos?

Re: MLB 2K12 - PC Impressions

I searched through this thread, and while the 2K11 vs 2k12 was touched on, it seems mainly about performance.

Anyway, now that it's been out about a month, what's the feeling for the PC version 12 vs 11 (game wise, not performance)? I have the Show on ps3 for the console fix, and still have 2K11 on loaded on the PC (which I still play). Also, does 12 seem decent out of the box (or download I suppose) without needing a major patch? 2K is notoriously slow on the PC side of patches, but I haven't read about too many glaring game breakers this year.

I'm tempted to just go with what I have since I enjoy 11, but just the talk of a generally "overall smoother" experience that I've read from some others almost has me sold anyway.

It feels a lot like 2k11 to be honest. The major difference I see is that pitchers are more accurate. For example from the Giants, all the pitch types appear more realistically than in 2k11. I don't know if this was merely a setting thing (that you could alter and change) or if they did something to improve the visual break of balls.

Hitting and pitching is more fun, imo. And the fielding is better done. 2k12 seems to just be a touched up version of 2k11. Which is fine by me. And I haven't noticed any of those game crippling bugs that happen in every MLB 2k game, so that's good.

I haven't gotten into the major modes yet (franchise, my player, etc), but in-game I've seen very few issues. In terms of the overall feel it's essentially the same as 2K11, but it's much more polished.

                              - Hit variety is better/more varied

                              - Pitch breaks are more realistic

                              - animations are smoother/less jittery (still some issues here-and the upright base running animation is just silly-but better overall)

                              - AI plays a bit smarter (though still some very questionable decisions-there are some odd bunting choices, for example).

                              - graphics (particularly the equipment textures and uniform fit) are improved.

Those are just some things. It's a lot of minor things...essentially a polished 2K11. I wouldn't recommend a purchase for the console version (not worth the full price IMO). For the PC price though, it's a good pickup.

Plus, Ty's editor is free this year, meaning easier roster and uniform editing all around.

Its optimized better this year as well. I can max it out at 60fps on my laptop where as last year I had to disable AA to get it to 60.
